Astrology Classes, a Long Commute and 2 Weeks That Kicked My Ass

These last few weeks have been a whirlwind of supply teaching in London, running astrology classes through the Rohini Academy of Astrology, recovering from an Instagram hack, and preparing for upcoming events with astrologers such as Steve Judd. It has been one of those weeks where teaching experience in the UK, real-life logistics, and online work all collide at once — and somehow, everything still has to hold together. I’m Starving Here! I had been struggling to find consistent work as a supply teacher last term, which meant I had to lean more heavily on other sources of income. Eventually, […]

A Writer’s Journey

My latest Astro.com astrology article, Under the Gaze of the Gorgon: Awakening at 9 Degrees Gemini, was published today, marking the latest step in a writing journey that began when I was twelve years old and first realised I wanted to write.  What makes this article different from others I have written for the site is that I totally bypassed the astrology magazines and submitted directly to the Astrodienst editors. Saturn, Success, and a Very Productive Week

Saturn Return, New Book, and a Productive Week My Saturn return has shaped a remarkable period of productivity, from the growing success of Rohini Academy of Astrology (with a surge of astrologers understanding how important safeguarding and child protection in our profession), finishing my new book Bending the Light to being commissioned once again to write for the Australian magazine WellBeing. This will be my fourth article for a publication that you can pick up off supermarket shelves, and I don’t mind saying that being asked back means a great deal. There is something deeply satisfying about returning on the […]

Shift Happens Too: From Classroom Chaos to Conference Magic

Shift Happens Too came at a remarkable point in my life. I had just been teaching full-time in a challenging Year 5 class, managing home chaos after redecorating my corridor, and trying to keep my own life from spilling into complete disorder. Then, almost straight from the classroom, I headed into one of the most unusual and rewarding astrology events I have ever been part of. That’s right: From Classroom Chaos to Conference Magic. When my agency first rang me, I was warned that this would be a difficult class. My heart dropped a little. In teaching, you learn that […]

A New Chapter Begins: New Courses, New Book, New Continents

The next few months are shaping up to be some of the most exciting of my career, and I thought I’d share a glimpse of what’s coming. The Rohini Academy of Astrology has taken a significant step forward with three new ways to study. Working with Astrology Hub! It’s been a great pleasure, after the Shifts Happen event last month, to be working with The Astrology Hub! Huzzah! Watch out for my New Moon in Gemini and Full Moon in Capricorn forecasts as well as my masters’ class on Wombmates and Wordmakers for the Inner Circle. Fancy a Bit of […]
