Astrology and Cinema in Reel Life✨ Tracy dives into The Blind Side, starring Sandra Bullock as Leigh Anne Tuohy — a story that raises questions about saviour narratives and moral projection.

Lillian brings us Rescue Dawn, with Christian Bale as Dieter Dengler — a journey into endurance, captivity, and faith in the face of fear.

And I decided to scare myself silly with Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, where Zac Efron plays the disturbingly charismatic Ted Bundy.

Together, we look at how astrology helps us understand the tension between light and shadow — why certain characters unsettle us, and how their stories reveal the hidden dynamics in our own charts.

It’s spooky, insightful, and (in true Reel Life fashion) full of laughter, honesty, and a touch of cheek.

deliver me from nowhere bruce springsteen

In this episode of Astrology and Cinema in Reel Life, Alex Trenoweth (in England) and Dr Katherine O’Connell (in the United States) connect across time zones to explore Deliver Me From Nowhere, the new film about Bruce Springsteen and the making of Nebraska.

Springsteen’s haunting 1982 album was inspired by the Starkweather murders, which — like the Clutter homicides in Capote and In Cold Blood — both occurred in 1959. Alex and Katherine discuss how these dark events shaped two very different works of art and how astrology can illuminate creativity born from chaos.

Philip Daniel Miles

It’s always a pleasure to speak with Philip Daniel Miles and I was so disappointed to hear his very active YouTube channel was taken down. However, in true Capricorn style, Philip is rebuilding and moving on and he even managed to recover his latest interview with me on my newest book, “Zeus on the Loose”.

Philip is an uplifting perspective shifter. Through his inspiring vlogs relating to his personal journey, his insightful astrology videos and the profound psychological depths of his astrology readings, he has the abilty to empower you to see things from a much higher and brighter perspective.

If you’re interested in booking a consultation with Philip, please visit his calendar or visit his website to discover more about him..

It was such fun to speak to Arielle Guttman about her favourite biopic, “Frida” about Frida Kahlo starring Salma Hayek. If you’ve been following me, you may remember Arielle and I recently spent time together in Bath.

Here’s a bit about Arielle and how to find her if you want to find out more: Arielle began her astrological studies in 1974 and has since authored five books in the field including the two-volume Mythic Astrology series with Kenneth Johnson (1993-2004) and The AstroCartoGraphy Book of Maps with the late Jim Lewis (1989). More recently she has authored the ground-breaking volume on Venus called Venus Star Rising: A New Cosmology for the 21st Century (2011, 2019) which introduces the 5 Venus Star Points. Arielle has lectured and taught around the world for various astrological organizations and schools including UAC, NCGR, ISAR and OPA. Currently she is on the faculty at Kepler College. She co-founded the Santa Fe Astrology Forum in 1999 which brought astrologers together in large numbers for over a decade. She currently lives in Greece and offers a home-study course that leads to professional certification in the Venus Star Point system.

About my guest Louise: Louise Edington: The Cosmic Owl, Weaver of Star-Wisdom & Sacred Threads ✨ Louise is a mythic storyteller, astrologer of the deep tides, and shamanic midwife to transformation. With over 30 years dancing with the stars, she doesn’t just read the cosmos — she speaks with it. Louise mentors rising astrologers, guide epic underworld journeys, and writes like she’s channeling divine memory from the void itself. Whether crafting a book to restore Ceres’ sacred name, or guiding a Venus rebirth in the oceanic realms, her work is alchemical, empowering, and soul-rooted. Louise blends ancient myth with quantum presence, all while tending the fire at the crossroads with Hekate at her back. Louise is: a wisdom weaver, a voice of remembrance, and a living thread between worlds, who signs off with love, because that’s how she moves through it all.
