Astrological Dreamwork: The Explosion

Ever have a dream that made you say “WTF?”? Last night I had a doozy! If you’ve had a crazy dream you’d like interpreted, it just so happens I have a dream interpretation service. For now though, indulge me in reading about my dream. We (I was with another astrologer) were in Sedona watching the sky because there were these amazing storm systems overhead. We found ourselves standing in front of this huge rock formation that looked like a huge ‘O’. Then in the middle of the O, there was this huge explosion building up and I was filming it […]

Tribute to Jonathan Cainer

I can’t believe it’s been seven years since the death of Jonathan Cainer on 2 May 2016. Many astrologers — as well as many fans and admirers — were affected by his passing. As my own children grew up with his and as he played such a huge role in shaping my life, I still find it very difficult to talk about him. But Jon still drops in for a visit every now and again. He still tells me I worry far more than I should. I get the idea he might be impressed with what I’m doing. As the […]

David Bowie

David Bowie was born on 8 January 1947 at 9am (Rodden Rating: A; Collector: Rodden) with Jupiter in Scorpio and Saturn in Leo.  For a man who surprised everyone to the very end, appropriately enough his ascendant is in Aquarius, ruled by Uranus, the only planet in the northern hemisphere of his chart and the tip of a yod with Jupiter and a Sun/Mars conjunction. As he once said: “I always had a repulsive need to be something more than human. I felt very puny as a human. I thought, “Fuck that. I want to be a superhuman.” Quick commercial Break! […]

Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ali (nee Cassius Clay) was born on 17 January 1942 at 18:35 in Louisville Kentucky with Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Taurus. His Saturn is conjunct the planet of rebellion, Uranus, and so it is worth noting early on that Saturn transits will carry the flavour of this rebellion. Ali was one of the greatest heavyweight boxers (well THE greatest according to him) this century and he was especially noted for his clever aphorisms.  His famous quote “I float like a butterfly and sting like a bee” is a perfect example of his Jupiter and Saturn placements. No […]

“Trading Her Tomorrows”

Janis Joplin’s chart is voltage and vulnerability in equal measure. From being raised in a conservative household to being a braless wonder on the world’s stage, Janis Joplin didn’t just set the world on fire–she was the harbinger of a New World Order represented by the Uranus/Pluto conjunction of the ’60’s.  I’ve been a fan of Joplin since I was a very young child and I clearly remember the announcements of her death on television (yes I’m that old) The article below was first written in the early 2000’s as part of the Club of 27 presentation for the Astrological […]

Mirror Mirror: Amadeus

The 18 August marks the birthday of Antonio Salieri, the alleged rival of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who was immortalised in the biopic “Amadeus”. As with many biopics, certain liberties are taken with the storylines with the truth often being distorted to make the protagonist look more like a hero and the antagonist seem more the villian. Whilst rumours circulated about the rivalry between Salieri and Mozart, it is unlikely Salieri had either time, resources or motivation to psycholigally torture Mozart into an early death. If you would like to hear more about famous people and the actors who portrayed them, […]
