A New Chapter Begins: New Courses, New Book, New Continents
June 17, 2026As I prepare for the Australian launch of Bending the Light and my Australia astrology tour, I’ve been spending a few precious weeks back in my home state of Michigan. Celebrating my “second 30th birthday” in Detroit with my university roommate Christine, visiting an old friend in Oscoda, and playing in a euchre tournament at beautiful Torch Lake have all reminded me how important it is to reconnect with family and friends before setting off on another adventure.
Every journey has a beginning, and mine started with something I value above all else—time spent with family and friends.
I’m currently back in my home state of Michigan, catching up with people who have known me for decades. I celebrated my “second 30th birthday” in Detroit with my university roommate, Christine, revisited old friendships in Oscoda, enjoyed a lively euchre tournament at beautiful Torch Lake, and have now been spending a little time relaxing in Kalamazoo before the next stage of my travels. I’ll be adding plenty of photographs from each stop, so I hope you’ll enjoy travelling with me.
Unfortunately, I also managed to have a rather spectacular fall, leaving me with an injured left wrist and a rather colourful right ankle. If you’ve been following my YouTube channel, you’ll know I’ve been inventing increasingly ridiculous explanations for the accident. So far, these have included taking over from Phil Collins in a gorilla suit and becoming involved in an unfortunate pub brawl! The truth is rather less exciting—but perhaps that’s what happens when Uranus decides to wander over one’s Ascendant.
One thing that has been far less amusing has been the sudden disabling of my Facebook account. After many years of building a wonderful community there, my account was disabled without any explanation that I consider meaningful. It’s been frustrating, to say the least, but rather than dwelling on it, I’m treating it as an opportunity to strengthen the platforms I do control—this website, my YouTube channel, Instagram and my Substack newsletter. If you’ve found me here after losing touch on Facebook, I’m delighted you’ve found your way back.
The next chapter begins in Australia.
On 12 September, I’ll be in Sydney for the official Australian launch of my fourth book, Bending the Light. That’s a moment I’ve been dreaming about for a long time. Every author hopes their work will find readers beyond their own shores, and it feels incredibly special to launch a book on a continent that has always welcomed me so warmly.

From Sydney I’ll be making my way to Tasmania, then Melbourne, Perth, spending about a week exploring the Australian Outback around Uluru, before continuing to Adelaide and finally Brisbane. Along the way I’ll be giving lectures, meeting astrologers, signing books, and, I hope, making many new friends.
After Australia, the adventure won’t quite be over. My plan is to make my way home at a gentler pace, travelling through Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, and, if all goes to plan, Beijing, before finally returning to England sometime in mid-November.

It’s going to be quite an adventure, and I’d love you to come along for the ride.
Over the coming months I’ll be sharing photographs, stories from the road, behind-the-scenes moments from the book launch, and, of course, plenty of astrology.
See you on the journey.
Don’t miss the adventure! Subscribe to my newsletter, follow me on YouTube and Instagram, and check back here regularly for updates from Australia and beyond.
Interested in studying with me?
Before I leave for Australia, I’ll also be running an Intensive Rohini Academy of Astrology course. I realise it’s rather short notice, but if you’ve been thinking about learning how to interpret children’s charts and understand Jupiter and Saturn through the developmental years, I’d love to have you join us.
If you’d like more information or would like to reserve a place, please get in touch. I’ll add the booking and contact links below.
