Jupiter in Capricorn

Jupiter in Capricorn: The Credit Card Bill in January

On 2 December 2019 at 6:20 pm GMT, Jupiter ingresses (moves) into Capricorn. If you have Jupiter in Capricorn then you have a “Jupiter return” this year. So it’s a bit like a birthday–only a Jupiter birthday only happens once every 12 years. To celebrate, my gift to you is an excerpt from my book “Growing Pains: Astrology in Education”. The song “Read ‘Em and Weep” came out in 1983. (Barry Manilow did it way better than Meatloaf had done a few years before. That’s why Barry’s version made it to #18 in the Billboard Hot 100 and Meatloaf’s did not. Read that and weep, Meatloaf fans). This was a highly successful conference for me (as well as many others) and it gets my “Jupiter Award” for bringing together so many people, for providing so many opportunities and for getting me to church on a Sunday morning with a hangover. Expensive? Yes but I (eventually) recovered […]

Solstice 2018, Rumi

Happy Solstice 2018

It’s the Winter Solstice 2018 for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere and Summer Solstice for those of you in the Southern Hemisphere. Wherever you are, the solstices are not only astronomically important but important markers in human life as well. Personally, I’ve always used the solstices to to reflect on what I’ve achieved and make new goals and targets. Everyone always says how quickly the year has passed. So much has happened this year that I look back on it in absolute awe. I’ll be posting the yearly horoscopes soon so be sure to pop back in. I’ve […]
