20 Ways Teaching Primary School is different to Teaching Secondary School

Teaching primary school was a HUGE surprise for this secondary school teacher. Not only did I never intend on teaching younger children, I discovered primary school and secondary school are two completely different  skill bases. “Duh Alex,” I hear my teacher friends say, “Did you expect teaching primary school to be the same as teaching secondary school?”. Well no I didn’t but I really wasn’t expecting so many differences.  I’m in a unique position: teachers tend to teach primary school OR secondary school. And, as a devoted secondary school teacher up until a few weeks ago, I feel like the […]

Astrology Conference Review: Kepler (Canaveral Research)

Been going to the same Astrology Conferences year after year? It’s time to get out of the same old routine! Astrological research is where it’s at! Astrological research has gone from strength to strength in recent years. Although the Kepler Conference and Canaveral Research now seems defunct, other astrologers have stepped up ti the astrological research plate. The Vibrational Astrology Conference, convened by David Cochrane, is a very formidable replacement. Astrological research has just moved laterally! The Kepler Astrology Conference, was held on beautiful Cocoa Beach Florida, was an astrology conference with a difference: the speakers were all nerds! We tested […]

Astrology Conference Review: NORWAC

The Northwest Astrology Conference (NORWAC) has the tagline “where you won’t get lost in the crowd”. I have to concur that the NORWAC crowd is super friendly and eager to engage. Everywhere I turned, there were other astrologers who wanted to talk to me (or I wanted to talk to them). It just seemed everyone treasured their time together. NORWAC meets yearly in June. Located near Seattle Washington, USA, this far-flung conference location takes a bit of devotion to reach. It’s a flight across the Pacific for Australian and Asian astrologers and a trans-continental flight for East Coast Americans. I […]

All Change in the House of Windsor?

And uh-oh Uranus is now retrograde and will return to the degree it was during the Abdication crisis mid-January 2021. . .Here’s a few more thoughts on what could be coming up for the British Royal family. NB I just realised today I had the wrong year for the first sentence–it should be 2021, not 2020 as it was originally written. Bad Alex (who can’t even confidently tell you what day it is in Lockdown). Back in November 2019, with the Prince Andrew scandal heating up, I thought it might be time for a little update on this article. Because, […]
