Buddy Holly and The Day the Music Died

My furry baby Mr Bubbles and I curled up on the sofa to watch “The Buddy Holly Story” the other day as part of my research into celebrities and the actors who portray them. I swear Mr Bubbles enjoys watching biopics as much as I do! Anyway, my baby died on the morning of the anniversary of Buddy Holly’s plane crash. I’ll miss my kitty but there’s something very cool about his connection to Buddy. If you’d like to read more about famous people and the actors who have portrayed them, why not subscribe? Julia Child: The French Chef

As a child, I was fascinated with the French Chef, Julia Child. Although I should have been impressed with her knowledge, it was her voice that captivated me. Sounding as if her larynx was stuck in the middle of her throat, it took some time for me to realise she wasn’t sporting a French accent: she just utilised her accent differently to anyone else. Her voice seemed to become most agitated when talking about […]

Can adolescent behaviour be influenced by lunar phase?

This paper on astrology research was first presented at the IVC conference in 2018, where it contributed to my being awarded an honorary PhD by the Krishnamurti Institute of Astrology. It was later peer-reviewed and published in the Astrological Association’s journal Correlation in 2019. The peer reviewers offered valuable suggestions to strengthen the work, and I am grateful for their input. Since publication, the paper has also been cited in Peter Marko’s Lunar Effect Bibliography, highlighting its contribution to the wider field of astrology research. Please note: this page is currently under construction. The article is published here in its […]
