Astrological Dreamwork: Out With a Bang

I love Astrological Dreamwork because our subconscious very often gives us such a great insight into complicated situations and emotions. In this interpretation, the Dreamer wanted to make a quick exit to stage left. But things take a rather unusual turn. Whatever could it mean? #dreamwork #astrology

Amy Winehouse: Falling into the Abyss

Amy Winehouse Astrology and Lyrics Amy Winehouse remains one of the most compelling voices of her generation — brilliant, raw, and heartbreakingly short-lived. Her story is part of the infamous “27 Club,” the group of gifted musicians who died tragically young, and it continues to raise questions about creativity, self-destruction, and destiny. Astrology offers a unique way of exploring these stories, not as fatalistic scripts, but as symbolic maps of potential, pressure, and possibility. In this article, we’ll look at Amy’s chart alongside key turning points in her career and the recent film Back to Black (2024), which brings her […]

Siegfried and Roy: Masters of the Impossible

I’m very sad to hear the magician Siegfried Fischbacher died yesterday. I’m not a fan of keeping wild animals caged up to entertain humans but I always thought Siegfried and Roy loved their big cats and kept their animals well. I never got a chance to see any of their live shows but I loved watching you tube videos of their performances. Like everyone else, I was horrified when Montecore bit Roy and I kept tabs on Roy’s rather miraculous recovery. It was touching how Siegfried was such an integral part of Roy’s healing and it was profoundly moving how […]

Tribute to Jonathan Cainer

I can’t believe it’s been seven years since the death of Jonathan Cainer on 2 May 2016. Many astrologers — as well as many fans and admirers — were affected by his passing. As my own children grew up with his and as he played such a huge role in shaping my life, I still find it very difficult to talk about him. But Jon still drops in for a visit every now and again. He still tells me I worry far more than I should. I get the idea he might be impressed with what I’m doing. As the […]

“Trading Her Tomorrows”

Janis Joplin’s chart is voltage and vulnerability in equal measure. From being raised in a conservative household to being a braless wonder on the world’s stage, Janis Joplin didn’t just set the world on fire–she was the harbinger of a New World Order represented by the Uranus/Pluto conjunction of the ’60’s.  I’ve been a fan of Joplin since I was a very young child and I clearly remember the announcements of her death on television (yes I’m that old) The article below was first written in the early 2000’s as part of the Club of 27 presentation for the Astrological […]

Paul Newman: An astrological perspective

Originally published in The Astrological Association Journal, January/February 2009 Paul Newman was a hero of mine. I loved his rebellious, sometimes cranky nature, his smouldering good looks with the piercing blue eyes. I loved it that he drove fast cars well and that he was so satisfied with what he had that he could donate some of his wealth to worthy causes. He exuded contentment in life and within his marriage. He was a wonderful cook – so much so that his friends inspired him to market his own sauces and dressings. What else could we expect of someone with […]
