Educating Elliot Rodger

On 23 May 2014, Eliot Rodger killed six people and injured fourteen others before killing himself in Isla Vista California. The incident took place as the lunar phase was approaching the New Moon. My research on children and behaviour shows that poor behaviour is more likely to occur at this phase. Before we go any further, please follow me on social media. The Jupiter-Pluto Conjunction

This article is part of my ongoing work exploring astrology, history, and culture. If you’re interested in related topics, you might also enjoy my piece on Gone With the Wind: The Zodiacal Parade, where I first wrote about Uranus at 9° Gemini and its link to America’s wars way back in 2005 for the Astrological Journal. I even have a slightly contentious article on the Sibley Chart. . You can also find more of my research and insights in my Books. Together, these resources build a fuller picture of how astrology continues to shape our understanding of nations, events, and […]

Oh Be Quiet About Ophiuchus

I CANNOT believe we’re going through this nonsense again. After a friend alerted me that Good Morning Britain had brought in “experts” to talk about Ophiuchus, I had to get busy. Just as we think we can forget how to spell “Ophiuchus”, the topic comes up again. I try not to grumpy about this but it gets rather tiresome. This story comes up every couple of years and I get panic-stricken messages because someone thinks their Sun sign has changed. And the story is used by NASA to bash astrology. So let me slow down and explain why your sign […]

Tales from the ‘Titanic’

We hear so much about Kate and Leonardo in the movie Titanic that the real star of the show, Gloria Stuart is overlooked.  In case the name isn’t familiar, Gloria played Rose as an old woman. It is her story, her romantic liaison with a poor boy from a different social class to hers that we are listening to when we watch the film. Gloria was a classic actress of the silver screen. Titanic star Gloria Stuart was born 4 July 1910, 11pm in Santa Monica CA. She was of the right age and physical beauty to be involved in the […]

Bounced: The true story of how an astrologer took down a skeptic

I was just putting a few finishing touches on a column I”ve been working on for the Organization for Professional Astrology when I remembered this CLASSIC take down of Matthew Syed. I don’t know where Syed is these days but I don’t care if his careless Moon in Sagittarius objects to being ridiculed by an astrologer. I said I’d lay off him but. . .he SO deserves this! Childhood Education Astrology Research | Alex Trenoweth Dell Horoscope

Childhood education astrology research has been a cornerstone of my work as both a teacher and an astrologer. My article, “Childhood Education: A Study by a Teacher and Astrologer,” was published in Dell Horoscope magazine, bringing together my classroom experience and astrological insights into how children learn and develop. Another article “When a Flower Speaks” appeared in the May/June 2018 issue. Dismissed for their lack of precision, non-replicable results and miniscule databases, modern day astrologers are often ridiculed by their skeptics. Can astrologers step up to the scientific plate or will they go down with the pseudoscience ship? In my […]
