It’s been a long and very steep learning curve for this OG technophobe but I’m pleased to say my new podcast, “Astrology and Cinema in Reel Life” is up and running across multiple platforms. Things have progressed so quickly, I’ve hardly had time to play around on social media or do any sort of playing around at all!

My goal was to have everything set up by the time school started again and I nearly made it with some last minute organisational problems that could have saved me tons of time. . .if only I had been more organised from the start. You live and you learn. Saturn in Pisces problems! I’m still tidying up and re-purposing old articles but that will take some time to get to all. . .300 of them. In the meantime, here is a link to the main articles that are ready to be admired.

So what’s Astrology and Cinema in REEL Life all about? Based on my book Mirror Mirror (with a second edition coming soon!), I look at biographical films (films about real people), the actors who portrayed them and the transits of when the film was first released. I always let my guest choose their favourite film and then we dive right in.

Here’s the format:

1. the real person’s natal chart,
2. the actor’s chart and why the role fits,
3. synastry between them, and
4. release-day transits to see why the timing landed with audiences.

To kick things off:

• Episode 1: Margaret Gray on Maria Callas portrayed by Angelina jolie in “Maria”
• Episode 2: Steve Judd on John Nash porrtayed by Russell Crowe in “A Beautiful Mind”. Additional comments from me on Alan Turing portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch in “The Imitation Game”.
• Episode 3: Matthew Currie on Frank Abagnale, Jr portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio in “Catch Me If You Can”. Additional comments from me on Whitley Streiber portrayed by Christopher Walken in “Communion”.

The podcast started off as just a fun project to go along with Mirror Mirror but quickly became a behemoth that had to be more brought under control. I’m still stunned by the sheer amount of work it took to put things together. So! I really do hope you love it as much as I do.
