The Jupiter Return of the Death of Diana

The Jupiter Return is when the transiting planet Jupiter returns to the degree it was at birth. Occurring about every 12 years, it marks important stages of development, particularly in adolescence. Do you think such an event would have no meaning? Well check out how it is playing out for Prince Harry.

In just under 12 hours at 1am on the 8 March 2021 (GMT), the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be interviewed by Oprah Winfrey. Here in the UK, we’ll be able to watch the interview on ITV on 8 March 2021 at 9pm. But before that, there will be a “Celebration for Commonwealth Day” with a message from HRM the Queen with contributions from the other members of the “The Firm” (sans Prince Andrew of course). Think I’ll give that one a miss.

Over and over, Harry has expressed concerns that history will repeat itself, a reference to the death of his mother. It is pretty much accepted that the Duke and Duchess’ ‘resignation’ as members of the senior Royal Family and their subsequent move to the US was because of the intense media scrutiny they were under.

But could there be underlying reasons for their controversial decisions to speak openly about their treatment? As always, astrology can reveal what is going on.

Jupiter Return

Diana, Princess of Wales died in the early hours of 31 August 1997. Currently, the planet Jupiter is four degrees away from where it was when she died. Yes, it’s hard to believe it’s the second Jupiter return of her death. So in the run up to this event, it is easy to understand how Prince Harry could move into protection overdrive. But there’s more to it than this.

Prince Harry was just short of his 13th birthday when he lost his mother. Who can forget the sight of this young child–with his uncle, father and older brother towering over him–walking behind the coffin of his beloved mother? He had had his own first Jupiter return the year before and so was in the stage of adolescence when his brain would have been re-wiring itself. It is an extremely vulnerable time of life and it is no wonder Prince Harry is reacting the way he is. Chiron was transiting his natal Pluto and Pluto was conjunct his South Node, both indicators of extreme grief.

Harry had his 3rd Jupiter return last year in late 2019 and by January 2020, it was announced he and his wife were withdrawing from public duties.

Algol Again

I’ve written quite extensively on the changes in the House of Windsor but it’s worth repeating that the planet Uranus is at the degree it was during the Abdication Crisis of 1936. And guess what? The Mercury of the Death of Diana is not too far away. So it’s no small astrological wonder that Prince Harry wants to talk about how harassment by the Press has affected him.

Just a few days ago, Mars transited the fixed star Algol. the Royal Family has many connections to this traditionally malefic star and wouldn’t you know it, Mars also would have transited the Sun of Harry and Meghan’s wedding day (as well as Harry’s natal North Node).

It’s been a most interesting year for everyone but other than Meghan and Harry, it’s all been rather quiet in the papers for the British Royal Family. Buckingham Palace is deserted, 99 year old Prince Philip is currently recovering from an infection in hospital and the Queen has been tucked up at Windsor Castle for the past year. Oh and the ravens at the Tower of London are perilously close to the critical number that according to legend, means the monarchy will fall. A ‘Royal Expert’ has predicted that the queen will step down later this year in 2021, handing over the crown to Prince Charles.
