There are some nights that don’t just happen — they rearrange something in you.

The Mini Shifts Happens event last night in London was one of those. The energy in the room was bright, alert, curious, and generous. It felt like everyone had come not only to listen, but to participate. To witness. To be changed, just a little.

Sharing the stage with Steve Judd and Rick Levine continues to feel like joining the conversation mid-sentence — as if we’ve been speaking for years across lifetimes. Each time we present together, it deepens. This collaboration has brought a renewed momentum to my work that I didn’t even realize I had been missing. I found myself saying things last night I didn’t know I had been waiting to say.

And, as if the evening itself weren’t enough, we had the most beautiful dinner beforehand with Darby Costello.

If you know, you know.

Darby is part of the living history of astrology. Sitting with her again took me back to those days of the MA in Cultural Astrology and Astronomy at Bath Spa University, the train journeys, the shared conversations that opened doors in my thinking I’ve never fully closed. There was so much laughter. So much ease. So much recognition.

To have her there, to have her with us — it meant more than I can put cleanly into words.

And then the talk itself.

Yes, there were a few technical gremlins in the first five minutes (Uranus always wants to remind us who’s in charge). But once we began, the current took hold. Frankenstein. Mary Shelley. The monstrous spark of genius. What progress asks from us. What it costs. Who we become when we create something larger than our intentions.

The response was overwhelming. Thoughtful questions, emotional reactions, real dialogue. Exactly what I want astrology to be. Not static. Not reverent. Alive. Public. Courageous.

And then — as if the universe wanted to underline the moment with fluorescent pen —

I passed 500 subscribers on YouTube.

As I write this, we’ve already crossed 517.
