Safeguarding & Child Protection Astrology (Level 1)

Safeguarding and child protection astrology is the foundation of the Rohini Academy of Astrology, giving you the ethical, developmental, and astrological grounding required to work safely with children, adolescents, families, and schools. This Level 1 course prepares you to practise astrology with confidence, professionalism, and responsibility.

What This Level Covers

Level 1 is designed to give students a strong, practical understanding of:

1. Ethical & Legal Frameworks

• What child protection actually means in astrological practice
• When confidentiality applies — and crucially, when it doesn’t
• Mandatory reporting, boundaries, consent, and information-sharing
• Why astrologers must be more careful than therapists or teachers

2. Developmentally Appropriate Astrology

• Understanding cognitive development in children and teens
• Why deterministic predictions are harmful
• How to phrase insights safely
• What you can say, what you shouldn’t say, and why

3. Working With Families and Schools

• How to position astrology as a supportive tool
• How to communicate responsibly with parents and legal guardians
• How to translate astrological symbolism into developmental language
• Avoiding psychological overreach

4. Foundations for Levels 2 & 3

Level 1 establishes the necessary grounding for:

• Level 2: Planetary Cycles & Educational Astrology
• Level 3: Applied Family Astrology & Professional Practice

Students must complete all three levels to receive the full Rohini Academy Certificate.
