Astrology Parent Hack!
February 16, 2022The Stuff I’m Getting Up to. . .
Well. . .it seems like life is slowly returning to normal and I have a few astrology events coming up. I’ve managed to return to the classroom and I even had a Christmas getaway at a Devon castle with two very big doggies. But it has seemed a bit overwhelming to pull things together–like I’ve gone from 10kph to 100kph in a very short space of time. Of course all this activity is very much helped out by the success of “Mirror Mirror“.
Two of the major accomplishments of this busy time was working with Nadiya Shah again (check out our interview here) and Julija Simas and I got the second mission of “TimeLords” finished! I have to say, we worked our socks off but Julija is such a great design editor so it was well worth the stress. Here’s the front cover by Ayse Aksoy (Agent 45). Lots of goddies inside but you must opt in to receive this FREE online magazine from the Cosmic Intelliegence Agency

So here are a few more Astrology events coming up:
NCGR
“Mirror Mirror: Famous People and the Actors who Portrayed Them” with Alex Trenoweth Are great biopics simply down to excellent makeup, brilliant acting and wonderful direction? Or could astrology reveal more to the story? Alex examines the history of biographical movies from the earliest offering of the 1930s all the way up to the current releases. Alex Trenoweth is a professional schoolteacher as well as an astrologer specialising in child development, particularly the important life stage of adolescence. She has spoken at astrology conferences around the world, contributed to important astrological publications and has won several major awards for her unique research based on her book “Growing Pains: The Astrology of Adolescence” by The Wessex Astrologer. Alex has also recently authored “The Adolescent Astrology Report” which was created to help parents and teachers understand the children they care for. Alex is now President of CAPISAR and has recently started her own astrology school, Rohini Academy of Astrology. NCGR Members $10 Non-members $15 Purchase tickets through Eventbrite. The Zoom link will be sent to paid attendees the day before the event. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mirror-mirror-famous-people-and-the-actors-who-portrayed-them-tickets-261387516097 |

ISAR
As I’m the programme manager for the UK Star Club, the International Society for Astrological Research certainly keeps me busy! I was majorly pleased to book Victor Olliver to do a lecture this Tuesday 8 February at 7pm GMT (click the link to purchase). Please note recordings are ONLY available for ISAR members.
I’m absolutely thrilled to be speaking for ISAR’s Astrology Day online symposium “A New World Awakening” More details of talks and speakers can be found by clicking the link.

Northern Stars Astrology Conference
It’s my very great pleasure to be speaking at the Northern Stars Astrology conference again. A shame I can’t visit Nova Scotia this year but we’re doing the best we can with this online conference. Can’t make the event? It’s OK, it will all be recorded!

OPA
The Organization for Professional Astrologers is holding several online events April-June 2022. The one I’ll be taking part in will be on Saturday 14 May. You can find more information here.

So I hope to see you at one or two of these Astrology events.
And Now a Poetry Break
Being back to teaching means I’m out of my neighbourhood more often and seeing more of the London I love so much. We had a visiting poet for our year 6s and I was inspired to write a poem. So here goes:
“East London is a Paisley Shirt Gone Wild”
East London is a Paisley Shirt Gone Wild
It’s a burgeoning explosion of daffodils accompanied with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber
East London is the cacophony of a billion-footed beast eating a pizza with all the toppings
East London is meerkats dancing with their mates in the moonlight while the sun slumbers beneath a patchwork quilt
East London is a castle where behind Roman walls ghostly aromas get their boogie down.
