An opportunity to explore a forgotten interest may emerge today. Your curious mind has a tendency to find new things to study only to abandon it for another. But there’s something sticks about this new interest and if take the time to examine it more carefully, t could turn into something more lucrative.

In a few days’ time, you can set your intentions for the month ahead. See how much progress you can make on your goals by the next Full Moon on 27 February!

New Moon in Aquarius: 11 February

A brilliant mind can be wasted on the wrong things. Consider an area or topic in which you have had an interest but not the time to learn more about. Sign up for a class or buy/borrow a book on the subject. It’s time to get studying.

Full Moon in Virgo: 27 February

Your emotional well being can be quite challenged during this Full Moon and you may find you over-react to things that normally would not bother you. Take some time out away from the hustle and noise and focus on how you feel.

You like to keep busy but even you must be running low on energy. Emotionally-charged confrontations or disagreements may have been a feature of the past few days. From today, you should feel a shift to conversations that are less emotionally loaded and more intellectually stimulating. Don’t kid yourself by assuming you haven’t learned anything from your recent experiences.

As the current lunar cycle comes to a finish, the Moon and Pluto make a powerful connection today. This can be an emotionally intense time with misunderstandings that could leave to long-lasting repercussions. The difficulties will typically stem from people being overly sensitive and reading far more into the situation than the situation actually deserves. Be clear about your intentions both in thought and action and if you have it in your head that you can pull the wool over someone’s eyes, a word of advice: don’t even try it today.

Usually, it can take quite a lot to get your full attention but today, something has you genuinely worried. It is important that you take a closer look at what is concerning you and hold your fear to the light of truth. Is it as bad as you thought? And most importantly, what can you do to fix it? Be practical with your expectations and, as the experts say, don’t make the little things out to be bigger than they actually are.

If any planetary connection could describe 2021, then the challenging one between Saturn and Uranus would be it. Uranus is the ripper of rule books, the angry cries of protesters and the preserver of individual rights and identity while Saturn strives to maintain the very foundations of our society that we have come to trust and rely on. Changes rarely occur without difficulties or resistance but we would be wise to look at the world we live in with wisdom and without fear. This Saturn-Uranus connection happens about every eleven years and what we are currently working with in 2021 is the final push to find a way to welcome the new while honouring the old.

Saturn is now moving through your ninth house, the sector of the chart that rules higher education and philosophy. Uranus moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude, invites you to evaluate how you use your time when the world is still and quiet. As someone who may be uncomfortable with silence, it will become increasingly important for you to pay attention to your internal dialogue.

success or hinder it.

You may feel you are at your wittiest but this opinion is not likely to be shared by authority figures. It may be fun and games to you but you need to stop and think about the potential damage you could do with just a few words. It’s not that you’ll hurt someone’s feelings—it’s more a case of you’re making yourself look silly.

You tend to prefer a little light reading but today, why not consider taming your concentration skills to include some serious study? For example, with a natural ear for languages, you may decide it’s time to learn about a different culture starting with the local dialect. Whatever you decide to learn more about, get yourself to dig a little deeper.

horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

I had to take a couple of days off of writing horoscopes. I had some difficult family news to process and although the horoscopes are written ahead of time, the posting can be quite time consuming.

Congratulations to the US on the inauguration of a new president! I’ve heard many astrologers speculate that the time of the handover had been adjusted to avoid the Moon being in final degree of Aries. Could Joe Biden have a secret astrologer like the Reagans did?

However, I wanted to point out that the only planets not in a harsh connection on Inauguration Day were Venus and Neptune. The presidential celebrations included performances by prominent female singers, a beautiful new US Vice President (the first female to hold this position)—and a show-stealing poem by Amanda Gorman who was handpicked by the new First Lady. What a great way to focus on the beautiful energy of the day and to ignore the conflict that had threatened to ruin it.

Today Venus will move even closer to Neptune and will become exact in the early hours of tomorrow. It’s not too late for you to follow Biden’s example and use this energy to your advantage.

Venus is now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. Neptune is now moving through your tenth house, the sector of the chart that rules your career and reputation. This combination gives you the opportunity to promote friendly or even romantic relationships. If you are in isolation due to Lockdown, take some time to enjoy the beauty in nature, listen to inspiring music and if you can find a way, connect (safely) with the people who bring out the beauty in you.

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

I know you’re probably thinking about Inauguration Day tomorrow but I promised a little British Royal Family today and here goes. . .

The Jupiter/Saturn conjunction took place at zero degrees Aquarius where the Sun will be tomorrow. The main players of the Royal Family (The Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and his son George) all have planets connected to this. But, even more interesting, the current Uranus/Mars conjunction will be on the same degree of Taurus where Uranus was some 84 years ago when the Abdication Crisis culminated with the King of England renouncing throne and his brother (the current Queen’s father) taking over. The Queen’s age means she is due to hand over the reins of the British Monarchy to her son Charles. All eyes on the Royal family in the coming days!

Now onto today’s horoscopes.

At 20:39 GMT, the Sun will move out of Capricorn and into Aquarius, making today a final chance to tidy up any loose ends and prepare for new beginnings. The final or first degrees of a sign are potent points of changing energy and the planet passing through these points colour how we ourselves are changing. As the Sun changes signs once per month, it will not be at 29 Capricorn again until this time next year (on the 20 January 2022 at 2:39 GMT in case you were wondering!).

The Sun is now about to move into your ninth house, the sector of the chart that rules higher education and philosophy. You can stop being so focused on financial planning and begin learning about the subjects that you truly enjoy. The next few weeks should be filled with opportunities for you to expand your mind however you like. Today is a great day for planning how you’d like to do this.

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

The Moon will move into the sign of Aries this morning (London UK time) where it will stay right up until Joe Biden is sworn in on 20 January 2021 at noon (White House time). We’ve left behind the peace of Pisces and now we’re blazing into fight mode. However, later in the day, the Moon will pass over Chiron, The Wounded Healer. We have all had painful memories and as a collective, today is a day of reflecting on the Pain of women in particular. It is this pain that will be carrying forward as Biden is sworn in. I am sure as a woman Kamala Harris has had to endure a lot of suffering to get to where she is. As America swears in the first female vice president, I have high hopes that though tired and weary with all our problems, we can work together to address how we can heal ourselves. Let us use today for thinking about what more we can do.

I have a few things to say about the British Royal Family but I’ll save it for tomorrow.

The Moon is now moving through your eleventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your group of extended friends such as those on social media.  Friends sometimes have conflicts but generally speaking, we work hard to preserve our friendships. Think of how your flippant words can sometimes make it seem that you just don’t care.

The effects of those challenging planetary connections will still be felt for some time to come. The challenging connections between planets in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus continues today. However, compassionate Moon in Pisces reminds us of the importance of being prepared to be flexible with unprecedented changes and tolerant of the ‘new normal’.  The message today is all about being adaptable and tolerant of the things you cannot control.

The Moon is now moving through your tenth house, the sector of the chart that rules your career and reputation. It may all seem like a quiet day at the office but there’s a lot more going than you are aware of. It’s all well and good pretending everything is OK but you should not allow yourself to get too complacent in what seem like comfortable situations. You need a better way of keeping yourself up to date to avoid falling asleep at the switch.

Today is the big showdown between Jupiter, the planet of growth and opportunity, and Uranus, the planet of sudden surprises. Just when you think you have everything planned out and in order, something comes along and forces you to change your direction. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Very often Uranus gives us just the right amount of discomfort to get us to be inventive about getting the problem fixed.

Jupiter is now moving through your ninth house, the sector of the chart that rules higher education and philosophy. Learning and communicating has always been one of your strong points. Most fortunately for you, today brings the kind of twists and turns you positively thrive on. Use your dexterity to your advantage and get ahead of all the complainers who are unable to cope with last minute changes in itineraries.

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

With the Sun connecting to Pluto and the Moon connecting to Jupiter and Saturn, today is an astrologically busy day. In mythology, Hercules had to fight the deadly Hydra but in order to defeat the monster, he had to delve deep into the murky depths to lift what he feared to the light. Today is a day of gains and losses but also a day to re-evaluate what we are frightened of and to prepare ourselves for ultimate victory.

The Sun and Pluto are now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. You often feel your commitments to other people are unimportant but today you may feel the sting of loneliness more acutely than usual. Instead of concentrating on what isn’t working, have a look at why it isn’t working. You may discover you need strong alliances after all.

Today’s New Moon in Capricorn connects with Pluto, the planet of destruction and re-birth. Pluto has a fearsome reputation but if used constructively and with purpose, this energy can be the catalyst for healing and for letting go of things that can be harmful to us. Spend today contemplating the habits you would like to change in your life. This is a great time to clear the slate and to introduce positive behaviours that can help you reach your goals with clarity of purpose. In a few days time, you can set your intentions into motion for a successful month ahead.

The Moon is now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. As a social busy bee, it can be difficult for you to focus on one issue at a time because you tend to spread yourself a bit thin. However, today is a good day for exploring the deeper meaning of your life and for re-discovering the issues that are most important to you. The connections you make over the next few days will help you prepare yourself for getting back on track.

In just over a day’s time, the Moon will reach the end of its cycle and a new cycle will begin. This time is known as the dark time of the Moon, when the night is truly full of hidden surprises and unaided by natural light. Before electric lights, this was the time when secret trysts took place under the cover of darkness. However, it is important to remember that the smallest amount of light will always scatter the shadows. Where will you shine your light today?

The Moon is now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. You’ve spent some time taking stock of your valuables last week but today is the time of reckoning. You need to clear some space by getting rid of the stuff that is just beyond saving. Organise your sentimental possessions so they are easy to access both for and for other people who may find them interesting too.

Horoscopes from Alex Trenoweth

Venus in Capricorn chases Mars in Taurus as the Moon shines on benevolently. Today is a great day to enjoy the outdoors and appreciate the natural beauty of the Earth. Grab your honey’s hand and go for a long walk. If social distancing has you more isolated than holding hands will allow, you can marvel at beauty and kindness in your heart (be sure to share it whatever way you can!).

Today Venus gives you the charm it takes to get other people to cooperate with you on projects that require detective work or mysteries to solve. As you uncover clues, it is likely you will find you need to dig even deeper for the information you desire. For the sake of saving time, you may have better success trusting your instincts and intuition rather than pursuing physical evidence. Being more patient could also save wasted effort.

horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

The Moon in Sagittarius makes an uncomfortable connection to the planet Uranus today. When we ask a question but don’t like the answer we get, we begin raging against the obligations and sense of duty to which we find ourselves bound. Like petulant children who have been denied the junk food we demand, we have to eventually accept that no one has given in to our demands no matter how much noise we have made. We can either accept or we can continue being stuck in a tantrum. Will you move on or will you continue to stamp your feet? Be still and listen to the advice. It may not be such a terrible thing after all.

The Moon is now moving through your seventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your relationships with other people. Everything you say and do is but a projection of what you think. Is someone egotistic? Look in the mirror. Is someone being paranoid? Look in the mirror. Get the picture, have a laugh and learn your lesson. Just don’t drag other people into you delusion.

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

A few weeks ago, the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius hit the headlines owing to its rarity. The last time these planets were at this position, the 3rdcrusade of the 12thcentury was in full swing. The 3rdcrusade was the attempt of the most powerful states of Western Christianity to re-capture Jerusalem.  This week the planet Mercury joins this conjunction making it a “Triple Conjunction” every bit as rare and newsworthy as the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction and certainly well deserving of capital letters. On top of this, Mercury as well as Venus and Mars all entered new signs over the past day. We may feel as if we are on our own personal crusade to forge new alliances in one way or another. Perhaps we are called to unite our voices to speak out about the inequality experienced in the world today and the astrological house this conjunction falls in describes the realm of you your life you feel compelled to fight for.

The Triple Conjunction is now moving through your ninth house, the sector of the chart that rules higher education and philosophy. Your crusade is about the equal distribution of knowledge and access to it. All of us have different learning styles and opportunities. However, not everyone who has an education is wise and not everyone who is not educated is a fool. You have your ears in tune with those who are seeking Truth and will not stop until you find it.

horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

Later today Mercury movies into the sign of Aquarius, signalling a shift in the way we should communicate to get our important ideas across to others. Aquarius calls on us to be inventive and to think outside the box of convention. Listen out for new ideas that may seem unusual (even in these days) or rule-bending of the masses. Venus is also on the move as she leaves carefree Sagittarius and enters into the realm of responsibility in Capricorn.

Mercury is now moving through your ninth house, the sector of the chart that rules higher education and philosophy while Venus dances through the house of secrets. You may sigh with relief now that Mercury is in a sign that you can relate to well but such familiarity can also bring limitations. Whilst your intuition is at its height, your intellect questions the ‘sanity’ of trusting your gut and overrides your best way of finding solutions to the difficulties you face.

Alex Trenoweth horoscopes

The planet Mars moved into Taurus late yesterday and by the end of the today, the Moon in Scorpio will form a challenging opposition. Mars is about our drives and motivations. In Aries, we see impulsiveness and lack of thought whereas in Taurus, life may seem to take on a more leisurely approach. However, it is worth noting that in 2020, Mars stayed in its own sign of Aries for most of the year. In 2021 however, it will speed through no less than 6 signs by the end of the year. The flux of changing energies will keep us on our toes yet challenge us to be flexible with how we do what we do.

Mars is now moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. This is your chance to step back, take a breather and heal. You’ve done quite enough talking and you need time to recover from all your exertions. This quiet time is also a time to re-charge your imagination through meditation, healing and dreamwork. Reflect on all you have done in 2020 and prepare yourself for when Mars enters your own sign in March.

The Moon is Libra today, marking the final quarter of this lunar phase. This is a time of making preparations for the New Moon next week by finalising the projects that you started a couple of weeks ago and can now begin putting together new ideas for your next steps. The Moon in Libra asks us to work well together, to use diplomacy in all our relationships and to remind ourselves that a few manners go a long way.

The Moon is now moving through your fifth house, the sector of the chart that rules how you express your creativity. You are known for your great ideas and your gift for conversation but today, it is time to exercise some of your previously unknown lesser talents. Today’s Moon invites you to get expressive with your artistic abilities by bring out your Inner Child for a bit of recreational time. Paint, sing, draw, knit a sweater or just spend the day writing.

By exact degree, Mercury finally meets up with Pluto in the sign of Capricorn today. It is a powerful alliance that has far-reaching consequences for every unguarded word you may choose to speak. Although this connection happens each year (sometimes more often with Mercury Retrograde), the Moon adds strength to our feelings and encourages us to use our emotions to guide our decisions. Use the power of communication wisely.

Mercury and Pluto are now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. Be aware of the power you can demonstrate when dealing with privates and confidential matters. You have worked hard to build the trust of others but one careless disclosure could do quite extensive damage amongst those who are closest to you. The atmosphere will lighten up again eventually.

For the past few days, the Moon has been in a challenging connection to Uranus, the planet of sudden surprises. The result may have been emotional flare-ups that seemed to have come out of nowhere. Today is good day to put out the flames of the drama and work towards resolutions.

The Moon is now moving through your fourth house, the sector of the chart that rules the past. You may have found it difficult to feel you have the support of people close to you. Part of the reason for this is because you may have unintentionally behaved erratically or have said something completely unexpected. No one is conspiring against you but you do need to remember someone important may be keeping tabs on you.

Moon in Virgo

The Moon changes Sign and House about every two days. Finding the rhythm of the Moon as she waxes and wanes can help you monitor and manage your moods. Early this morning, the Moon will leave Leo and move into the sign of Virgo. It is a time of clearing our space to make room for the blessings of the Virgin Goddess.

The Moon is now moving through your fourth house, the sector of the chart that rules the past. Today is a day for remembering and reflecting. Giving yourself time and space to reminisce will help you process difficult emotions—you’re not as immune to feelings as you think you are.

Alex Trenoweth Horoscopes 2021

For the next few days the planet Mercury will form a challenging link to Mars. The words you hear may sound harsh or even unpleasant while the words you say may sound more hostile and provocative than you intend. Of course sometimes situations call for assertiveness and firm boundaries but you would do well to remember that there will be consequences.

Mercury is now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. It can be difficult for other people to take what you say seriously so if you have something important to say, it should be a high priority to prepare everyone to listen carefully to what you have to say. Do be careful of taking your friends for granted. Everyone has their limits and you don’t need to accrue people who will refuse to support you in the future.

Alex Trenoweth Horoscopes

Hail and Welcome 2021.

This morning, the Moon moves out of opposition with Jupiter and Saturn. As these planets were square to Uranus, it looks like last night was a wild one with some unexpected surprises thrown into the mix. However, this morning as we pick up the pieces and clear up the mess of 2020, let’s be very careful of what are throwing away. As a global community, we have had to re-assess what is important to us: the family we have gathered around us during lockdown, the treasures we had forgotten we are blessed with and the chilling reality of the delicate balance that we live in.

Hail and Farewell 2020.

What all this means for you

The Moon is now moving through your third house, the sector of the chart that rules communication and the people who live close to you. You may have felt that you didn’t quite make the social rounds as you would have liked but just look at what you have achieved: you’ve been very successful at focusing on the people who can truly make a difference to your direction of learning. So during this quiet morning of reflection, be sure to show gratitude to those who have cast their light onto your path.

From our point of view, the Moon is the fastest moving planet while Pluto is the slowest. Although the Moon will be in opposition to Pluto about once per month, the God of the Underworld will spend several years in each solar house. It is worth finding the rhythm of this difficult connection so it can be used to help you get in touch with your deep and hidden inner emotions.’ Sit’ with your feelings, give yourself space to turn them over in your mind and recall memories from the past. Spend the last few moments of 2020 clearing energy space for 2021.

Pluto is now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. Deep-seated emotions may have their roots your fear of getting in too deep (some of us lesser mortals might call this ‘commitment’!). You are often the one who withdraws when someone wants to get close to you. What is the source of these feelings? And what can you do to change how you feel? You are often the one who withdraws when someone wants to get close to you. If you don’t want someone’s affections then why offer your own?
