It may have been difficult for you to distinguish friend from foe but as the emotional intensity of the past few days abates, you should have a much clearer picture of who you can trust. As you are accustomed to relying on your gut instincts, it can be a challenge for you to simply consider the facts of the situation. Try to step back and listen to what your head says is right for you.

As the current lunar cycle comes to a finish, the Moon and Pluto make a powerful connection today. This can be an emotionally intense time with misunderstandings that could leave to long-lasting repercussions. The difficulties will typically stem from people being overly sensitive and reading far more into the situation than the situation actually deserves. Be clear about your intentions both in thought and action and if you have it in your head that you can pull the wool over someone’s eyes, a word of advice: don’t even try it today.
People sometimes do odd things that seem to make no sense whatsoever. You might think they are trying to manipulate you or even control you. In situations such as these, it is best to bring things out into the open so they can be examined and understood more fully rather than keeping suspicions to yourself. You’ll find others appreciate your honesty and they’ll trust you to deliver objective and confidential advice in the future.

If any planetary connection could describe 2021, then the challenging one between Saturn and Uranus would be it. Uranus is the ripper of rule books, the angry cries of protesters and the preserver of individual rights and identity while Saturn strives to maintain the very foundations of our society that we have come to trust and rely on. Changes rarely occur without difficulties or resistance but we would be wise to look at the world we live in with wisdom and without fear. This Saturn-Uranus connection happens about every eleven years and what we are currently working with in 2021 is the final push to find a way to welcome the new while honouring the old.
Saturn is now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. Uranus moving through your eleventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your group of extended friends such as those on social media, invites you to consider the value of your connections. From sharing aspects of our personal lives to advertising our goods and services, social media has become an important tool for business. Ensure your connections are beneficial.

If you don’t know how to do something or if you’re not sure if an event will fit into your calendar, it is important to look at the logistics before making any sort of commitment. Having to back out of an agreement can have long term repercussions on friendships and connections so it’s best to decline invitations that may result in you not being able to honour your promises.

Your thoughts may turn to beginning to sort through financial matters, particularly if you are in a committed relationship. Talking about money isn’t your favourite subject but you’ve put off the inevitable for long enough. Time to get tough by gritting your teeth, getting the calculator out and verbalising your concerns to someone who can help you.

With all the drama going on, perhaps you are better off staying away from social media for the next few days. Instead, it will be far more satisfying to do those things that make your sensitive heart feel safe and secure: clear your personal space, take time to contact loved ones and reach out to help a friend who is struggling to keep their head above water in all the chaos. You know what you need to do.
22 January 2021

I had to take a couple of days off of writing horoscopes. I had some difficult family news to process and although the horoscopes are written ahead of time, the posting can be quite time consuming.
Congratulations to the US on the inauguration of a new president! I’ve heard many astrologers speculate that the time of the handover had been adjusted to avoid the Moon being in final degree of Aries. Could Joe Biden have a secret astrologer like the Reagans did?
However, I wanted to point out that the only planets not in a harsh connection on Inauguration Day were Venus and Neptune. The presidential celebrations included performances by prominent female singers, a beautiful new US Vice President (the first female to hold this position)—and a show-stealing poem by Amanda Gorman who was handpicked by the new First Lady. What a great way to focus on the beautiful energy of the day and to ignore the conflict that had threatened to ruin it.
Today Venus will move even closer to Neptune and will become exact in the early hours of tomorrow. It’s not too late for you to follow Biden’s example and use this energy to your advantage.
Venus is now moving through your seventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your relationships with other people. Neptune is now moving through your fifth house, the sector of the chart that rules how you express your creativity. This combination gives you the opportunity to promote friendly or even romantic relationships. If you are in isolation due to Lockdown, take some time to enjoy the beauty in nature, listen to inspiring music and if you can find a way, connect (safely) with the people who bring out the beauty in you.

I know you’re probably thinking about Inauguration Day tomorrow but I promised a little British Royal Family today and here goes. . .
The Jupiter/Saturn conjunction took place at zero degrees Aquarius where the Sun will be tomorrow. The main players of the Royal Family (The Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and his son George) all have planets connected to this. But, even more interesting, the current Uranus/Mars conjunction will be on the same degree of Taurus where Uranus was some 84 years ago when the Abdication Crisis culminated with the King of England renouncing throne and his brother (the current Queen’s father) taking over. The Queen’s age means she is due to hand over the reins of the British Monarchy to her son Charles. All eyes on the Royal family in the coming days!
Now onto today’s horoscopes.
At 20:39 GMT, the Sun will move out of Capricorn and into Aquarius, making today a final chance to tidy up any loose ends and prepare for new beginnings. The final or first degrees of a sign are potent points of changing energy and the planet passing through these points colour how we ourselves are changing. As the Sun changes signs once per month, it will not be at 29 Capricorn again until this time next year (on the 20 January 2022 at 2:39 GMT in case you were wondering!).
The Sun is now about to move into your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. You can stop being so focused on being diplomatic when discussing the changes you want to make. The next few weeks should be filled with getting to the bottom of what is really bothering you and making you feel insecure. Today is a great day for planning how you’d like to do this.

The Moon will move into the sign of Aries this morning (London UK time) where it will stay right up until Joe Biden is sworn in on 20 January 2021 at noon (White House time). We’ve left behind the peace of Pisces and now we’re blazing into fight mode. However, later in the day, the Moon will pass over Chiron, The Wounded Healer. We have all had painful memories and as a collective, today is a day of reflecting on the Pain of women in particular. It is this pain that will be carrying forward as Biden is sworn in. I am sure as a woman Kamala Harris has had to endure a lot of suffering to get to where she is. As America swears in the first female vice president, I have high hopes that though tired and weary with all our problems, we can work together to address how we can heal ourselves. Let us use today for thinking about what more we can do.
I have a few things to say about the British Royal Family but I’ll save it for tomorrow.
The Moon is now moving through your tenth house, the sector of the chart that rules your career and reputation. It is challenging to take on the responsibility of an authority figure. You’ve done well to hide your suffering. But enough is enough. You don’t have to be a target for anyone’s anger.

The effects of those challenging planetary connections will still be felt for some time to come. In the midst of conflict and strife, it is important to be able to find quiet spaces to allow your mind to process all that is going on around you. The Moon is currently moving through the sign of Pisces and passing over the planet Neptune giving you the opportunity to find solace.

The challenging connections between planets in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus continues today. However, compassionate Moon in Pisces reminds us of the importance of being prepared to be flexible with unprecedented changes and tolerant of the ‘new normal’. The message today is all about being adaptable and tolerant of the things you cannot control.
The Moon is now moving through your ninth house, the sector of the chart that rules higher education and philosophy. These days information can fly by in an unnoticeable blur. What you need is a way to organise yourself in a manner that can cope with the speed new information comes. Yes it’s time you changed your online operating systems with something more up-to-date. Today is the big showdown between Jupiter, the planet of growth and opportunity, and Uranus, the planet of sudden surprises. Just when you think you have everything planned out and in order, something comes along and forces you to change your direction. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Very often Uranus gives us just the right amount of discomfort to get us to be inventive about getting the problem fixed.
Jupiter is now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. Working with people requires a great deal of respect and trust and so discovering that someone has been less than honest with you can be devastating. However, you should look at the point of view of the other person. Perhaps they were trying to protect you from what they saw as unnecessary stress—or perhaps they feared how you might react.

With the Sun connecting to Pluto and the Moon connecting to Jupiter and Saturn, today is an astrologically busy day. In mythology, Hercules had to fight the deadly Hydra but in order to defeat the monster, he had to delve deep into the murky depths to lift what he feared to the light. Today is a day of gains and losses but also a day to re-evaluate what we are frightened of and to prepare ourselves for ultimate victory.
The Sun and Pluto are now moving through your seventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your relationships with other people. What is it about your current situation that makes you feel so insecure? Could it be difficult people see you as their personal lifesaver? While it’s all well and good being kind, you do need to draw the line somewhere. There’s no need for you to feel obligated to tolerate someone else’s nonsense.

Today’s New Moon in Capricorn connects with Pluto, the planet of destruction and re-birth. Pluto has a fearsome reputation but if used constructively and with purpose, this energy can be the catalyst for healing and for letting go of things that can be harmful to us. Spend today contemplating the habits you would like to change in your life. This is a great time to clear the slate and to introduce positive behaviours that can help you reach your goals with clarity of purpose. In a few days time, you can set your intentions into motion for a successful month ahead.
The Moon is now moving through your seventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your relationships with other people. It comes naturally for you to connect emotionally with others but sometimes this can distract you from looking at things on a practical level. What do your relationships bring to your table? Who amongst your connections can help you reach the goals that are important to you? Use today to prepare yourself for getting back on track with the right people to help you.

In just over a day’s time, the Moon will reach the end of its cycle and a new cycle will begin. This time is known as the dark time of the Moon, when the night is truly full of hidden surprises and unaided by natural light. Before electric lights, this was the time when secret trysts took place under the cover of darkness. However, it is important to remember that the smallest amount of light will always scatter the shadows. Where will you shine your light today?
The Moon is now moving through your seventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your relationships with other people. If you’ve taken the advice offered last week, then this week is a time for you to share what you’ve learned with others. Exercising and then sharing your creative skills is a great way to learn about the other people in your life. Enjoy and celebrate what they have to offer and let them do the same for you.

Venus in Capricorn chases Mars in Taurus as the Moon shines on benevolently. Today is a great day to enjoy the outdoors and appreciate the natural beauty of the Earth. Grab your honey’s hand and go for a long walk. If social distancing has you more isolated than holding hands will allow, you can marvel at beauty and kindness in your heart (be sure to share it whatever way you can!).
Today Venus gives you the charm it takes to attract the people who could be persuaded to help you with your career path. Seeking advice for getting a promotion or finding the right sort of training are favoured today. Ensure you don’t forget looking to social media for inspiration. These days more and more people are looking for cost effective ways of finding the right person for the job and today could be the day for ‘coincidental’ contacts.

The Moon in Sagittarius makes an uncomfortable connection to the planet Uranus today. When we ask a question but don’t like the answer we get, we begin raging against the obligations and sense of duty to which we find ourselves bound. Like petulant children who have been denied the junk food we demand, we have to eventually accept that no one has given in to our demands no matter how much noise we have made. We can either accept or we can continue being stuck in a tantrum. Will you move on or will you continue to stamp your feet? Be still and listen to the advice. It may not be such a terrible thing after all.
The Moon is now moving through your sixth house, the sector of the chart that rules how you serve other people. Your life is a mess? That’s as bad as it is going to get. Now find the truth and get yourself out of the labyrinth. It’s really not as bad as you think! Stop beating yourself up over the things that just don’t matter. There’s far more important things to focus on.

A few weeks ago, the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius hit the headlines owing to its rarity. The last time these planets were at this position, the 3rdcrusade of the 12thcentury was in full swing. The 3rdcrusade was the attempt of the most powerful states of Western Christianity to re-capture Jerusalem. This week the planet Mercury joins this conjunction making it a “Triple Conjunction” every bit as rare and newsworthy as the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction and certainly well deserving of capital letters. On top of this, Mercury as well as Venus and Mars all entered new signs over the past day. We may feel as if we are on our own personal crusade to forge new alliances in one way or another. Perhaps we are called to unite our voices to speak out about the inequality experienced in the world today and the astrological house this conjunction falls in describes the realm of you your life you feel compelled to fight for.
The Triple Conjunction is now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. Your crusade is about preserving family legacies and other forms of history. We have all heard that the Winners get to tell their version of history but you are determined to give a voice to those who, for whatever reason, cannot speak. Just be sure not to let your own story get drowned out in the process.

Later today Mercury movies into the sign of Aquarius, signalling a shift in the way we should communicate to get our important ideas across to others. Aquarius calls on us to be inventive and to think outside the box of convention. Listen out for new ideas that may seem unusual (even in these days) or rule-bending of the masses. Venus is also on the move as she leaves carefree Sagittarius and enters into the realm of responsibility in Capricorn.
Mercury is now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others while Venus shimmies through your house of relationships. Your intuition and ability to see through even the cleverest of guises is greatly heightened. You know when there’s a rat about but you but you also understand that to catch it, you have to trap it by luring it to the trap you have set.

The planet Mars moved into Taurus late yesterday and by the end of the today, the Moon in Scorpio will form a challenging opposition. Mars is about our drives and motivations. In Aries, we see impulsiveness and lack of thought whereas in Taurus, life may seem to take on a more leisurely approach. However, it is worth noting that in 2020, Mars stayed in its own sign of Aries for most of the year. In 2021 however, it will speed through no less than 6 signs by the end of the year. The flux of changing energies will keep us on our toes yet challenge us to be flexible with how we do what we do.
Mars is now moving through your eleventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your group of extended friends such as those on social media. Making connections with people will be a top priority and if it is relevant to you, it’s a great time to start a promotional campaign to gain exposure for the incredible things you do. The Moon is Libra today, marking the final quarter of this lunar phase. This is a time of making preparations for the New Moon next week by finalising the projects that you started a couple of weeks ago and can now begin putting together new ideas for your next steps. The Moon in Libra asks us to work well together, to use diplomacy in all our relationships and to remind ourselves that a few manners go a long way.
The Moon is now moving through your fourth house, the sector of the chart that rules the past. This is a day to focus on your home environment—but with the view to making it a place that truly reflects how you feel about your achievements. Our homes are our ‘roots’, the points from the rest of our lives grow and produce fruit. Simply put, when we feel good at the roots, we produce more healthy fruit.

By exact degree, Mercury finally meets up with Pluto in the sign of Capricorn today. It is a powerful alliance that has far-reaching consequences for every unguarded word you may choose to speak. Although this connection happens each year (sometimes more often with Mercury Retrograde), the Moon adds strength to our feelings and encourages us to use our emotions to guide our decisions. Use the power of communication wisely.
Mercury and Pluto are now moving through your seventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your relationships with other people. Be aware of the power you demonstrate in the way you work with the emotions of others today. Many people see you as a helpful guide and rely on you for your consistent kindness. However, it is important to take care of your own needs in order to prevent resentment from bubbling over.

For the past few days, the Moon has been in a challenging connection to Uranus, the planet of sudden surprises. The result may have been emotional flare-ups that seemed to have come out of nowhere. Today is good day to put out the flames of the drama and work towards resolutions.
The Moon is now moving through your third house, the sector of the chart that rules communication and the people who live close to you. You may have found isolation more acutely these past few days or perhaps you’ve even experienced clashes between friends on social media platforms and have felt relieved to be left out of the drama. The tension will ease as channels of communication continue to open, giving everyone involved the opportunity to speak freely. Try not to take anything too personally as others speak their minds.

The Moon changes Sign and House about every two days. Finding the rhythm of the Moon as she waxes and wanes can help you monitor and manage your moods. Early this morning, the Moon will leave Leo and move into the sign of Virgo. It is a time of clearing our space to make room for the blessings of the Virgin Goddess.
The Moon is now moving through your third house, the sector of the chart that rules communication and the people who live close to you. You have no problem speaking from the heart but today calls for some seriously rational thinking. Stop, think, then act on your decisions. You can check how you feel afterwards.

For the next few days the planet Mercury will form a challenging link to Mars. The words you hear may sound harsh or even unpleasant while the words you say may sound more hostile and provocative than you intend. Of course sometimes situations call for assertiveness and firm boundaries but you would do well to remember that there will be consequences.
Mercury is now moving through your seventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your relationships with other people. It is fortunate indeed that you seem to have the knack for attracting the right sort of people who can help you achieve your career ambitions. However, you may now feel your success has come at a price. Learn to step back and delegate work to the competent people around and most of all, pace yourself a bit better.

Hail and Welcome 2021.
This morning, the Moon moves out of opposition with Jupiter and Saturn. As these planets were square to Uranus, it looks like last night was a wild one with some unexpected surprises thrown into the mix. However, this morning as we pick up the pieces and clear up the mess of 2020, let’s be very careful of what are throwing away. As a global community, we have had to re-assess what is important to us: the family we have gathered around us during lockdown, the treasures we had forgotten we are blessed with and the chilling reality of the delicate balance that we live in.
Hail and Farewell 2020.
What all this means for you
The Moon is now moving through your second house, the sector of the chart that rules finances. You may have felt that you were stuck in a rut financially but on a more positive side, you have made some seriously important social contacts. As the year goes on, this will be worth its weight in gold as more doors of opportunity open themselves to you as if by magic. So during this quiet morning of reflection, remember it’s not the money in your pocket that counts—it’s the size of your social media accounts.

From our point of view, the Moon is the fastest moving planet while Pluto is the slowest. Although the Moon will be in opposition to Pluto about once per month, the God of the Underworld will spend several years in each solar house. It is worth finding the rhythm of this difficult connection so it can be used to help you get in touch with your deep and hidden inner emotions.’ Sit’ with your feelings, give yourself space to turn them over in your mind and recall memories from the past. Spend the last few moments of 2020 clearing energy space for 2021.
Pluto is now moving through your seventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your relationships with other people. Deep-seated emotions may have their roots in being hurt by the people closest to you. Feeling threatened by those we trust imprints a memory that does not easily go away. What is the source of these feelings? And what can you do to change how you feel? Being sure of your escape route has always served you well but maybe it’s time you stopped running away from what scares you.
