The Moon is now moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. Taking time to meditate, going for a swim (if you can!) or taking a short afternoon nap are all suitable ways of giving yourself a break. You need to re-charge your body’s batteries and to find a sense of balance in order to manage the decisions you must make in the days to come.

Today the Moon slips away from the planetary pile-up in Aquarius and moves into Pisces. As it is also the start of a new lunar cycle, it is important to set your intentions for the month ahead. The gentle, dreamy New Moon Pisces invites you use stillness and meditation to stimulate your imagination and to psychically connect with those who need your healing and gentle touch.

Finding privacy and solitude may be high on your agenda today. It’s been a hectic time with shifting friendships as well as a full calendar of social engagements so no wonder then that you need a little down time. Fluff your blankets and pillows, put on some inspiring music and feel how your mood is changing as you begin to unwind and relax. Everyone deserves a break. Just don’t get too comfortable as you’ll be back on the battlefields again soon.

It’s been an intense couple of days and you may have felt the pinch in your career goals. We all need a time to reflect on what we want to do but you are now much more motivated and are ready to begin implementing plans. Before you get started, exercise your patience and use the next couple of days to prepare your new mindset. Your first priority should be getting a feel for those in your contact list.

As the current lunar cycle comes to a finish, the Moon and Pluto make a powerful connection today. This can be an emotionally intense time with misunderstandings that could leave to long-lasting repercussions. The difficulties will typically stem from people being overly sensitive and reading far more into the situation than the situation actually deserves. Be clear about your intentions both in thought and action and if you have it in your head that you can pull the wool over someone’s eyes, a word of advice: don’t even try it today.

It is easy to get overly concerned with what we perceive to be our weaknesses, particularly when the concern stems from comparing ourselves to others. Of course it is important to continually strive for improvement but the temptation for you may be to take things too far and become obsessed with what you may think is a lack of progress. Be reasonable with your expectations and bear in mind what works for someone else may not be what you need to focus on for yourself.

8 February 2021

If any planetary connection could describe 2021, then the challenging one between Saturn and Uranus would be it. Uranus is the ripper of rule books, the angry cries of protesters and the preserver of individual rights and identity while Saturn strives to maintain the very foundations of our society that we have come to trust and rely on. Changes rarely occur without difficulties or resistance but we would be wise to look at the world we live in with wisdom and without fear. This Saturn-Uranus connection happens about every eleven years and what we are currently working with in 2021 is the final push to find a way to welcome the new while honouring the old.

Saturn is now moving through your eleventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your group of extended friends such as those on social media. Uranus moving through your second house, the sector of the chart that rules finances, invites you to evaluate your friendships and social connections carefully. Who means the most to you and how can you preserve this association? Do remember the people you choose to stand by publically are also representations of your own reputation and status.

Your imagination is working on overdrive and it may be difficult for you to sort fact from fiction.  It is important to get in touch with your feelings yet also be receptive to the feelings of others. Before firing off with a sharp word, take a deep breath and assess the situation. You could do more damage than you can possibly fix if you’re not more careful.

22 January 2021

horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

I had to take a couple of days off of writing horoscopes. I had some difficult family news to process and although the horoscopes are written ahead of time, the posting can be quite time consuming.

Congratulations to the US on the inauguration of a new president! I’ve heard many astrologers speculate that the time of the handover had been adjusted to avoid the Moon being in final degree of Aries. Could Joe Biden have a secret astrologer like the Reagans did?

However, I wanted to point out that the only planets not in a harsh connection on Inauguration Day were Venus and Neptune. The presidential celebrations included performances by prominent female singers, a beautiful new US Vice President (the first female to hold this position)—and a show-stealing poem by Amanda Gorman who was handpicked by the new First Lady. What a great way to focus on the beautiful energy of the day and to ignore the conflict that had threatened to ruin it.

Today Venus will move even closer to Neptune and will become exact in the early hours of tomorrow. It’s not too late for you to follow Biden’s example and use this energy to your advantage.

Venus is now moving through your tenth house, the sector of the chart that rules your career and reputation. Neptune is moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. This combination gives you the opportunity to promote friendly or even romantic relationships. If you are in isolation due to Lockdown, take some time to enjoy the beauty in nature, listen to inspiring music and if you can find a way, connect (safely) with the people who bring out the beauty in you.

I know you’re probably thinking about Inauguration Day tomorrow but I promised a little British Royal Family today and here goes. . .

The Jupiter/Saturn conjunction took place at zero degrees Aquarius where the Sun will be tomorrow. The main players of the Royal Family (The Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and his son George) all have planets connected to this. But, even more interesting, the current Uranus/Mars conjunction will be on the same degree of Taurus where Uranus was some 84 years ago when the Abdication Crisis culminated with the King of England renouncing throne and his brother (the current Queen’s father) taking over. The Queen’s age means she is due to hand over the reins of the British Monarchy to her son Charles. All eyes on the Royal family in the coming days!

Now onto today’s horoscopes.

At 20:39 GMT, the Sun will move out of Capricorn and into Aquarius, making today a final chance to tidy up any loose ends and prepare for new beginnings. The final or first degrees of a sign are potent points of changing energy and the planet passing through these points colour how we ourselves are changing. As the Sun changes signs once per month, it will not be at 29 Capricorn again until this time next year (on the 20 January 2022 at 2:39 GMT in case you were wondering!).

The Sun is now about to move into your eleventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your group of extended friends such as those on social media. You can stop being so work-focused and instead you should be getting ready to network with people who can help you succeed with your plans. The next few weeks should be filled with (socially distanced) meetings and exchanges of pleasantries with people you enjoy spending time with. Today is a great day for planning how you’d like to do this.

The Moon will move into the sign of Aries this morning (London UK time) where it will stay right up until Joe Biden is sworn in on 20 January 2021 at noon (White House time). We’ve left behind the peace of Pisces and now we’re blazing into fight mode. However, later in the day, the Moon will pass over Chiron, The Wounded Healer. We have all had painful memories and as a collective, today is a day of reflecting on the Pain of women in particular. It is this pain that will be carrying forward as Biden is sworn in. I am sure as a woman Kamala Harris has had to endure a lot of suffering to get to where she is. As America swears in the first female vice president, I have high hopes that though tired and weary with all our problems, we can work together to address how we can heal ourselves. Let us use today for thinking about what more we can do.

I have a few things to say about the British Royal Family but I’ll save it for tomorrow.

The Moon is now moving through your first house, the sector of the chart that rules your appearance and how you project your image to the rest of the world.  It is easy to focus on our own pains but today you are invited to consider how much of this pain was caused by trying to hurt someone else. Pick up the phone and apologise to someone you may have harmed in some way.

The challenging connections between planets in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus continues today. However, compassionate Moon in Pisces reminds us of the importance of being prepared to be flexible with unprecedented changes and tolerant of the ‘new normal’.  The message today is all about being adaptable and tolerant of the things you cannot control.

The Moon is now moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. Yes we all know you hate it when you feel you have no power and control over the circumstances. Today is a good lesson in patience and grit. You may have a lot of strengths and skills but that doesn’t mean things won’t slip unexpectedly. Don’t seethe and huff in the background: be prepared to think well on your feet.

Today is the big showdown between Jupiter, the planet of growth and opportunity, and Uranus, the planet of sudden surprises. Just when you think you have everything planned out and in order, something comes along and forces you to change your direction. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Very often Uranus gives us just the right amount of discomfort to get us to be inventive about getting the problem fixed.

Jupiter is now moving through your eleventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your group of extended friends such as those on social media. You circle of trusted people has grown significantly recently but it remains to be seen how reliable they are. A mass exodus from your contacts is one possibility. However, you taking control of the situation by culling the superfluous is the other possibility. Act quickly or there may not be a choice.

horoscopes from Alex Trenoweth

With the Sun connecting to Pluto and the Moon connecting to Jupiter and Saturn, today is an astrologically busy day. In mythology, Hercules had to fight the deadly Hydra but in order to defeat the monster, he had to delve deep into the murky depths to lift what he feared to the light. Today is a day of gains and losses but also a day to re-evaluate what we are frightened of and to prepare ourselves for ultimate victory.

The Sun and Pluto are now moving through your tenth house, the sector of the chart that rules your career and reputation. If there is an issue you have been avoiding regarding you path in life, then today is a good day to get to grips with what has been bothering you. It could be a boss, supervisor or even a colleague but bear in mind it is possible that you are your own worst enemy.

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

Today’s New Moon in Capricorn connects with Pluto, the planet of destruction and re-birth. Pluto has a fearsome reputation but if used constructively and with purpose, this energy can be the catalyst for healing and for letting go of things that can be harmful to us. Spend today contemplating the habits you would like to change in your life. This is a great time to clear the slate and to introduce positive behaviours that can help you reach your goals with clarity of purpose. In just over a day’s time, the Moon will reach the end of its cycle and a new cycle will begin. This time is known as the dark time of the Moon, when the night is truly full of hidden surprises and unaided by natural light. Before electric lights, this was the time when secret trysts took place under the cover of darkness. However, it is important to remember that the smallest amount of light will always scatter the shadows. Where will you shine your light today?

The Moon is now moving through your tenth house, the sector of the chart that rules your career and reputation. You are known as a person who takes action very quickly—and often without much forethought—but today you should take the time to think ahead to ensure your actions match your overall goals in life. It is said the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step but today make sure that step is in the right direction. There’s no point in having to waste time by getting lost.

Horoscopes from Alex Trenoweth

Venus in Capricorn chases Mars in Taurus as the Moon shines on benevolently. Today is a great day to enjoy the outdoors and appreciate the natural beauty of the Earth. Grab your honey’s hand and go for a long walk. If social distancing has you more isolated than holding hands will allow, you can marvel at beauty and kindness in your heart (be sure to share it whatever way you can!).

Venus gives you the charm it takes to get other people to cooperate with you in the workplace. With a little effort, it is likely you could get anyone to give you help where you need it if you ask politely. Projects involving finances are particularly likely to be successful provided decisions are reached through cooperation and understanding between the people involved. However, over the next few days, these arrangements may change without warning.

horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

The Moon in Sagittarius makes an uncomfortable connection to the planet Uranus today. When we ask a question but don’t like the answer we get, we begin raging against the obligations and sense of duty to which we find ourselves bound. Like petulant children who have been denied the junk food we demand, we have to eventually accept that no one has given in to our demands no matter how much noise we have made. We can either accept or we can continue being stuck in a tantrum. Will you move on or will you continue to stamp your feet? Be still and listen to the advice. It may not be such a terrible thing after all.

The Moon is now moving through your ninth house, the sector of the chart that rules higher education and philosophy. Of all the billions of people to say the word ‘no’ to, you would not be the first person of choice! Instead of flying off the handle as you might normally do, take a deep breath and consider your options. There are none. Re-direct your energy to something more useful and productive.

9 January 2021

A few weeks ago, the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius hit the headlines owing to its rarity. The last time these planets were at this position, the 3rdcrusade of the 12thcentury was in full swing. The 3rdcrusade was the attempt of the most powerful states of Western Christianity to re-capture Jerusalem.  This week the planet Mercury joins this conjunction making it a “Triple Conjunction” every bit as rare and newsworthy as the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction and certainly well deserving of capital letters. On top of this, Mercury as well as Venus and Mars all entered new signs over the past day. We may feel as if we are on our own personal crusade to forge new alliances in one way or another. Perhaps we are called to unite our voices to speak out about the inequality experienced in the world today and the astrological house this conjunction falls in describes the realm of you your life you feel compelled to fight for.

The Triple Conjunction is now moving through your eleventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your group of extended friends such as those on social media. It is increasingly difficult to tell fact from fiction from what we see and hear on the internet. It will be difficult for you to stop yourself from getting involved with circular arguments and continual misrepresentations of information amongst your acquaintances and others who are loosely connected to you. Is it really worth the battle?

horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

Later today Mercury movies into the sign of Aquarius, signalling a shift in the way we should communicate to get our important ideas across to others. Aquarius calls on us to be inventive and to think outside the box of convention. Listen out for new ideas that may seem unusual (even in these days) or rule-bending of the masses. Venus is also on the move as she leaves carefree Sagittarius and enters into the realm of responsibility in Capricorn.

Mercury is now moving through your eleventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your group of extended friends such as those on social media while Venus brightens up your career opportunities. Even with the opportunity for casual connections, your business antennae are twitching with the anticipation of potential deals. Trust your intuition on anything that looks too good to be true. Better opportunities lie in wait in a few days’ time and you’ll be glad you waited for something far better to come along.

The planet Mars moved into Taurus late yesterday and by the end of the today, the Moon in Scorpio will form a challenging opposition. Mars is about our drives and motivations. In Aries, we see impulsiveness and lack of thought whereas in Taurus, life may seem to take on a more leisurely approach. However, it is worth noting that in 2020, Mars stayed in its own sign of Aries for most of the year. In 2021 however, it will speed through no less than 6 signs by the end of the year. The flux of changing energies will keep us on our toes yet challenge us to be flexible with how we do what we do.

Mars is now moving through your second house, the sector of the chart that rules finances. . Despite Lockdown restrictions, 2020 was year of constant pushing for what you want but with Mars changing signs, you should be feeling less frustrated and rushed. Now that you have done all the work, you can now focus on cashing in! It may be helpful for you to spend some time going through your assets and appraising what your skills are actually worth.

The Moon is Libra today, marking the final quarter of this lunar phase. This is a time of making preparations for the New Moon next week by finalising the projects that you started a couple of weeks ago and can now begin putting together new ideas for your next steps. The Moon in Libra asks us to work well together, to use diplomacy in all our relationships and to remind ourselves that a few manners go a long way.

The Moon is now moving through your seventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your relationships with other people. As you are so independent, it can be hard for you to remember that even someone like you occasionally needs someone to lean on. It is important for you to remember the the type of people who are attracted to you represent a reflection of your true nature. Do you like what you see? And if not, what can you do about it?

By exact degree, Mercury finally meets up with Pluto in the sign of Capricorn today. It is a powerful alliance that has far-reaching consequences for every unguarded word you may choose to speak. Although this connection happens each year (sometimes more often with Mercury Retrograde), the Moon adds strength to our feelings and encourages us to use our emotions to guide our decisions. Use the power of communication wisely.

What it means for you. . .

Mercury and Pluto are now moving through your tenth house, the sector of the chart that rules your career and reputation. Be aware of the power you demonstrate in the workplace or as you work to achieve your ambitions. Everyone looks up to someone and you may be surprised that the person people admire is none other than you. Aim to be more patient and never forget that it’s not what you do that people remember. It’s the way you make them feel.

For the past few days, the Moon has been in a challenging connection to Uranus, the planet of sudden surprises. The result may have been emotional flare-ups that seemed to have come out of nowhere. Today is good day to put out the flames of the drama and work towards resolutions.

The Moon is now moving through your sixth house, the sector of the chart that rules how you serve other people. You may have found it difficult to spend your resources the way that you would have liked. Today you may understand the reasons behind these blockages and are now free to do as you please. Do take a moment or two to remember what you have learned over the past few days: try not to act impulsively without very good reason.

Moon in Virgo

The Moon changes Sign and House about every two days. Finding the rhythm of the Moon as she waxes and wanes can help you monitor and manage your moods. Early this morning, the Moon will leave Leo and move into the sign of Virgo. It is a time of clearing our space to make room for the blessings of the Virgin Goddess.

The Moon is now moving through your sixth house, the sector of the chart that rules how you serve other people. Not only is today a great day to do favours for other people, but it’s a great day for you to spend some time doing something intricate. Pick a project that needs detailed attention and get to work.

Alex Trenoweth Horoscopes 2021

For the next few days the planet Mercury will form a challenging link to Mars. The words you hear may sound harsh or even unpleasant while the words you say may sound more hostile and provocative than you intend. Of course sometimes situations call for assertiveness and firm boundaries but you would do well to remember that there will be consequences.

What it means for you. . .

Mercury is now moving through your tenth house, the sector of the chart that rules your career and reputation. People who know you accept you as you are. However, this week you run the serious risk of giving out the wrong impression to those you should be trying to impress which could in turn hinder potential career relationships. It will help you to take a deep breath before saying anything so you give yourself time to think about how you want to come across.

Alex Trenoweth Horoscopes

Hail and Welcome 2021.

This morning, the Moon moves out of opposition with Jupiter and Saturn. As these planets were square to Uranus, it looks like last night was a wild one with some unexpected surprises thrown into the mix. However, this morning as we pick up the pieces and clear up the mess of 2020, let’s be very careful of what are throwing away. As a global community, we have had to re-assess what is important to us: the family we have gathered around us during lockdown, the treasures we had forgotten we are blessed with and the chilling reality of the delicate balance that we live in.

Hail and Farewell 2020.

What all this means for you. . .

The Moon is now moving through your fifth house, the sector of the chart that rules how you express your creativity. You may have felt that some of your friends could have been more supportive of your ventures but as you reflect, you are starting to realise that perhaps they were acting out of protection for you. With so much uncontained energy, it has been hard for you to understand when to stop, when to put your wallet away and who to stop shouting at. So during this quiet morning of reflection, look for the ties that can be re-bound.

From our point of view, the Moon is the fastest moving planet while Pluto is the slowest. Although the Moon will be in opposition to Pluto about once per month, the God of the Underworld will spend several years in each solar house. It is worth finding the rhythm of this difficult connection so it can be used to help you get in touch with your deep and hidden inner emotions. ‘Sit’ with your feelings, give yourself space to turn them over in your mind and recall memories from the past. Spend the last few moments of 2020 clearing energy space for 2021.

Happy New Year!

Pluto is now moving through your tenth house, the sector of the chart that rules your career and reputation. Deep-seated emotions may have their roots in your fear of losing social status and thus de-stabilising the family structure. What is the source of these feelings? And what can you do to change how you feel? Discussing your career or life goals with a trusted family member can help you gain a better perspective on your achievements.
