The Moon is now moving through your second house, the sector of the chart that rules finances. We could all do with sound business advice but you’re taking things a bit too far. Keep to the basics and let money work for you rather than being so concerned with accumulating wealth that you forget to enjoy it. Buying something nice for yourself and give yourself a reminder of why you work so hard.

The pressure may be off of you but you are still pushing yourself too hard. There is a lot to do but you need to pace yourself a little better to avoid burning yourself out. Make a plan to break big tasks into smaller pieces and discipline yourself to do the things you like the least to get them over and done with.

12 February 2021

All the attention has been on you this month so it must be a relief that someone else will have the spotlight. Occupying your mind may be how much you have changed over these past few months. Little shifts add up to pretty big earthquakes and where you are most likely to feel the instabilities is in your pocketbook. Quite frankly, what used to be your top priority is no longer of interest to you. Amend your goals and targets as needed.

Well that was a good hiatus. But now it’s back to work. You do have a lot on your plate and of course you are completely capable of managing everything. What could possibly throw you off the trail of success? Be aware of emotional turmoil—you don’t like the messy realm of feelings but you can’t escape them either. Get involved with trying to resolve these conflicts and you will learn more about how you can support others more effectively.

9 February 2021

As the current lunar cycle comes to a finish, the Moon and Pluto make a powerful connection today. This can be an emotionally intense time with misunderstandings that could leave to long-lasting repercussions. The difficulties will typically stem from people being overly sensitive and reading far more into the situation than the situation actually deserves. Be clear about your intentions both in thought and action and if you have it in your head that you can pull the wool over someone’s eyes, a word of advice: don’t even try it today.

It may be difficult for you to be still with your thoughts today but it is important to take some time out to reflect on what has been troubling you. Allowing yourself some headspace will help you decide on the best possible actions to keep you moving forward. Let your thoughts roam freely and see where they take you. Intuition is your greatest guide today and this is a skill you could definitely improve on.

If any planetary connection could describe 2021, then the challenging one between Saturn and Uranus would be it. Uranus is the ripper of rule books, the angry cries of protesters and the preserver of individual rights and identity while Saturn strives to maintain the very foundations of our society that we have come to trust and rely on. Changes rarely occur without difficulties or resistance but we would be wise to look at the world we live in with wisdom and without fear. This Saturn-Uranus connection happens about every eleven years and what we are currently working with in 2021 is the final push to find a way to welcome the new while honouring the old.

You are at your charming best—but there’s a twinkle of mischief in your eyes. While teasing and provoking people to get a reaction can be a lot of fun, it can also lead to resentments that prevent future negotiations. Be honest in your dealings with people today but try not to poke any bears along the way.

There is a risk of unnecessary confusion over boundaries within relationships if good communication has not been practiced. Today is a good time to set the record straight by being clear about what it is you are looking for. Honesty and transparency can lead to surprises but if you persist, you will prevent unresolved issues from re-emerging in the future. You are at your charming best—but there’s a twinkle of mischief in your eyes. There are epic battles that come with loud noises and then there are little skirmishes that no one else is aware of except for you. horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

I had to take a couple of days off of writing horoscopes. I had some difficult family news to process and although the horoscopes are written ahead of time, the posting can be quite time consuming.

Congratulations to the US on the inauguration of a new president! I’ve heard many astrologers speculate that the time of the handover had been adjusted to avoid the Moon being in final degree of Aries. Could Joe Biden have a secret astrologer like the Reagans did?

However, I wanted to point out that the only planets not in a harsh connection on Inauguration Day were Venus and Neptune. The presidential celebrations included performances by prominent female singers, a beautiful new US Vice President (the first female to hold this position)—and a show-stealing poem by Amanda Gorman who was handpicked by the new First Lady. What a great way to focus on the beautiful energy of the day and to ignore the conflict that had threatened to ruin it.

Today Venus will move even closer to Neptune and will become exact in the early hours of tomorrow. It’s not too late for you to follow Biden’s example and use this energy to your advantage.

Venus is now moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. Neptune is now moving through your tenth house, the sector of the chart that rules your career and reputation. This combination gives you the opportunity to promote friendly or even romantic relationships. If you are in isolation due to Lockdown, take some time to enjoy the beauty in nature, listen to inspiring music and if you can find a way, connect (safely) with the people who bring out the beauty in you.

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

I know you’re probably thinking about Inauguration Day tomorrow but I promised a little British Royal Family today and here goes. . .

The Jupiter/Saturn conjunction took place at zero degrees Aquarius where the Sun will be tomorrow. The main players of the Royal Family (The Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and his son George) all have planets connected to this. But, even more interesting, the current Uranus/Mars conjunction will be on the same degree of Taurus where Uranus was some 84 years ago when the Abdication Crisis culminated with the King of England renouncing throne and his brother (the current Queen’s father) taking over. The Queen’s age means she is due to hand over the reins of the British Monarchy to her son Charles. All eyes on the Royal family in the coming days!

Now onto today’s horoscopes.

At 20:39 GMT, the Sun will move out of Capricorn and into Aquarius, making today a final chance to tidy up any loose ends and prepare for new beginnings. The final or first degrees of a sign are potent points of changing energy and the planet passing through these points colour how we ourselves are changing. As the Sun changes signs once per month, it will not be at 29 Capricorn again until this time next year (on the 20 January 2022 at 2:39 GMT in case you were wondering!).

The Sun is now about to move into your first house, the sector of the chart that rules your appearance and how you project your image to the rest of the world. You should begin to stop feeling as if everything is out of control or that you are continually feeling like you don’t know what to do next. The next few weeks should be filled ways of working towards self-improvement and just worrying about yourself. Today is a great day for planning how you’d like to do this. Have a great birthday month!

18 January

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

The Moon will move into the sign of Aries this morning (London UK time) where it will stay right up until Joe Biden is sworn in on 20 January 2021 at noon (White House time). We’ve left behind the peace of Pisces and now we’re blazing into fight mode. However, later in the day, the Moon will pass over Chiron, The Wounded Healer. We have all had painful memories and as a collective, today is a day of reflecting on the Pain of women in particular. It is this pain that will be carrying forward as Biden is sworn in. I am sure as a woman Kamala Harris has had to endure a lot of suffering to get to where she is. As America swears in the first female vice president, I have high hopes that though tired and weary with all our problems, we can work together to address how we can heal ourselves. Let us use today for thinking about what more we can do.

I have a few things to say about the British Royal Family but I’ll save it for tomorrow.

The Moon is now moving through your third house, the sector of the chart that rules communication and the people who live close to you.  Everyone is feeling impatient and can be quick to overact to the slightest provocation. It’s hard to be strong when someone is confrontational but you’ll just have to dig deep and resist. The worst thing you could do today is lash back with words you will regret.

The effects of those challenging planetary connections will still be felt for some time to come. In the midst of conflict and strife, it is important to be able to find quiet spaces to allow your mind to process all that is going on around you. The challenging connections between planets in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus continues today. However, compassionate Moon in Pisces reminds us of the importance of being prepared to be flexible with unprecedented changes and tolerant of the ‘new normal’.  The message today is all about being adaptable and tolerant of the things you cannot control.

The Moon is now moving through your second house, the sector of the chart that rules finances. Today should find you happy and content with all that you have acquired—and yet you are the type of person who tends not to find comfort in material goods.  You’re not usually the sentimental type but hey, everyone has their off days. Use today to let someone else know how much you care. Tomorrow you’ll be back to your normally aloof self.

Alex Trenoweth horoscopes

Today is the big showdown between Jupiter, the planet of growth and opportunity, and Uranus, the planet of sudden surprises. Just when you think you have everything planned out and in order, something comes along and forces you to change your direction. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Very often Uranus gives us just the right amount of discomfort to get us to be inventive about getting the problem fixed.

Jupiter is now moving through your first house, the sector of the chart that rules your appearance and how you project your image to the rest of the world. You’ve always been full of surprises but now you’re just showing off! It is true what they say about Aquarians: there’s just no way of predicting what they’ll do next. However, by keeping others on their toes, you are only encouraging them to return the favour.

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

With the Sun connecting to Pluto and the Moon connecting to Jupiter and Saturn, today is an astrologically busy day. In mythology, Hercules had to fight the deadly Hydra but in order to defeat the monster, he had to delve deep into the murky depths to lift what he feared to the light. Today is a day of gains and losses but also a day to re-evaluate what we are frightened of and to prepare ourselves for ultimate victory.

The Sun and Pluto are now moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. Keep yourself as busy as possible today or you may have to contend with the tsunami of emotions others casually throw your way. You’ve no time for emotions. Or do you? As alien as they may be to you, understanding the very human condition of feelings helps you to unravel a very deep mystery that has been bothering you for some time.

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

Today’s New Moon in Capricorn connects with Pluto, the planet of destruction and re-birth. Pluto has a fearsome reputation but if used constructively and with purpose, this energy can be the catalyst for healing and for letting go of things that can be harmful to us. Spend today contemplating the habits you would like to change in your life. This is a great time to clear the slate and to introduce positive behaviours that can help you reach your goals with clarity of purpose. In a few days time, you can set your intentions into motion for a successful month ahead.

The Moon is now moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. Even in Lockdown, it can feel like things have gotten out of control. You need some quiet time for contemplation and for working out what your priorities should be/ Get organised by doing what is most important to you first rather than trying to please other people. Use today to prepare yourself for getting back on track.

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

In just over a day’s time, the Moon will reach the end of its cycle and a new cycle will begin. This time is known as the dark time of the Moon, when the night is truly full of hidden surprises and unaided by natural light. Before electric lights, this was the time when secret trysts took place under the cover of darkness. However, it is important to remember that the smallest amount of light will always scatter the shadows. Where will you shine your light today?

The Moon is now moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. Bah! What a month, eh? The holidays are over so you can put your Grinch face away until next year when no doubt you’ll have to remind everyone (again!) that overspending and overeating should not really be on anyone’s calendar. But you do have about 24 hours to get one more piece of advice in to anyone who might have a final party planned.

Horoscopes from Alex Trenoweth

Venus in Capricorn chases Mars in Taurus as the Moon shines on benevolently. Today is a great day to enjoy the outdoors and appreciate the natural beauty of the Earth. Grab your honey’s hand and go for a long walk. If social distancing has you more isolated than holding hands will allow, you can marvel at beauty and kindness in your heart (be sure to share it whatever way you can!).

Today Venus gives you the charm it takes to get other people to leave you to do things the way you’d like. It can be frustrating to you if you have to stop and explain everything you’re doing and even worse if you also have to deal with the complicated emotions other people can generate. Even if you’re normally a sociable person, you’ll appreciate the peace and quiet to do what you know is best.

horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

The Moon in Sagittarius makes an uncomfortable connection to the planet Uranus today. When we ask a question but don’t like the answer we get, we begin raging against the obligations and sense of duty to which we find ourselves bound. Like petulant children who have been denied the junk food we demand, we have to eventually accept that no one has given in to our demands no matter how much noise we have made. We can either accept or we can continue being stuck in a tantrum. Will you move on or will you continue to stamp your feet? Be still and listen to the advice. It may not be such a terrible thing after all.

The Moon is now moving through your eleventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your group of extended friends such as those on social media. So many voices, so many messages! Close your eyes and discover the voice that is the loudest. Then hear the whisper. That is the direction to take.

Horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

A few weeks ago, the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius hit the headlines owing to its rarity. The last time these planets were at this position, the 3rdcrusade of the 12thcentury was in full swing. The 3rdcrusade was the attempt of the most powerful states of Western Christianity to re-capture Jerusalem.  This week the planet Mercury joins this conjunction making it a “Triple Conjunction” every bit as rare and newsworthy as the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction and certainly well deserving of capital letters. On top of this, Mercury as well as Venus and Mars all entered new signs over the past day. We may feel as if we are on our own personal crusade to forge new alliances in one way or another. Perhaps we are called to unite our voices to speak out about the inequality experienced in the world today and the astrological house this conjunction falls in describes the realm of you your life you feel compelled to fight for.

The Triple Conjunction is now moving through your first house, the sector of the chart that rules your appearance and how you project your image to the rest of the world. You may feel you’re in the eye of the storm. Haven’t you been saying all your life that what the world needs is a bit of equality? Now is not the time to relax. It’s a time to support those who need your sense of foresight for guidance out of a tricky situation.

horoscopes by Alex Trenoweth

Later today Mercury movies into the sign of Aquarius, signalling a shift in the way we should communicate to get our important ideas across to others. Aquarius calls on us to be inventive and to think outside the box of convention. Listen out for new ideas that may seem unusual (even in these days) or rule-bending of the masses. Venus is also on the move as she leaves carefree Sagittarius and enters into the realm of responsibility in Capricorn.

Mercury is now moving through your first house, the sector of the chart that rules your appearance and how you project your image to the rest of the world while Venus moves in the area of your life that heightens your awareness of the suffering in the world. You are uncharacteristically attentive to emotions and can be enormously supportive to in just the right way to those who need it.

Alex Trenoweth horoscopes

The planet Mars moved into Taurus late yesterday and by the end of the today, the Moon in Scorpio will form a challenging opposition. Mars is about our drives and motivations. In Aries, we see impulsiveness and lack of thought whereas in Taurus, life may seem to take on a more leisurely approach. However, it is worth noting that in 2020, Mars stayed in its own sign of Aries for most of the year. In 2021 however, it will speed through no less than 6 signs by the end of the year. The flux of changing energies will keep us on our toes yet challenge us to be flexible with how we do what we do.

Mars is now moving through your fourth house, the sector of the chart that rules the past. It isn’t comfortable for you to have to dwell on the past but luckily for you, this will only be for a short time. Ina few weeks, you’ll feel much more like yourself and can carry on with getting people to think ahead and to think outside the box. In the meantime, grab a box of chocolates, watch a soppy film and don’t forget to pay homage to your ancestors.

The Moon is Libra today, marking the final quarter of this lunar phase. This is a time of making preparations for the New Moon next week by finalising the projects that you started a couple of weeks ago and can now begin putting together new ideas for your next steps. The Moon in Libra asks us to work well together, to use diplomacy in all our relationships and to remind ourselves that a few manners go a long way.

The Moon is now moving through your ninth house, the sector of the chart that rules higher education and philosophy.  You’ve always taken a different point of view in discussions so no one will be surprised to see you at your argumentative best today. And the most important thing is that you feel as if you are making salient points in dead end arguments. The ‘Wooden Spoon’ award for stirring the pot goes to you—and we thank you for your contributions.

By exact degree, Mercury finally meets up with Pluto in the sign of Capricorn today. It is a powerful alliance that has far-reaching consequences for every unguarded word you may choose to speak. Although this connection happens each year (sometimes more often with Mercury Retrograde), the Moon adds strength to our feelings and encourages us to use our emotions to guide our decisions. Use the power of communication wisely.

Mercury and Pluto are now moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. During the pandemic and subsequent lockdown, the world turned to the internet to socially distance safely and so it is a very good thing for you that you cultivated this type of communication long before anyone else. But now is your chance to rest. Turn off your devices and let your over-used brain re-charge.

For the past few days, the Moon has been in a challenging connection to Uranus, the planet of sudden surprises. The result may have been emotional flare-ups that seemed to have come out of nowhere. Today is good day to put out the flames of the drama and work towards resolutions.

The Moon is now moving through your eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. You may have found it difficult to cope with everyone feeling as if they have to express every single emotion the moment they have them (that includes you!). Things should be calmer for you today and you will have time to reflect on the events of the past few days.

Moon in Virgo

The Moon changes Sign and House about every two days. Finding the rhythm of the Moon as she waxes and wanes can help you monitor and manage your moods. Early this morning, the Moon will leave Leo and move into the sign of Virgo. It is a time of clearing our space to make room for the blessings of the Virgin Goddess.

The Moon is now moving through your solar eighth house, the sector of the chart that rules the parts of our lives that we share with others. It’s a great day to withdraw from the all the noise and activity on the internet. That’s right. Log off for a few hours. There are lots of great books to read (you might like a good murder mystery) and long, solitary walks to take.

Alex Trenoweth Horoscopes 2021

For the next few days the planet Mercury will form a challenging link to Mars. The words you hear may sound harsh or even unpleasant while the words you say may sound more hostile and provocative than you intend. Of course sometimes situations call for assertiveness and firm boundaries but you would do well to remember that there will be consequences.

Mercury is now moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. Every holiday season is full of hustle and bustle but this past one has put the others to shame. In fact, it is very likely that you can hold a simple train of thought let alone keep up your side of a conversation. It is important for you to take an interest in others but you need to establish your social limits too.

Alex Trenoweth Horoscopes

Hail and Welcome 2021.

This morning, the Moon moves out of opposition with Jupiter and Saturn. As these planets were square to Uranus, it looks like last night was a wild one with some unexpected surprises thrown into the mix. However, this morning as we pick up the pieces and clear up the mess of 2020, let’s be very careful of what are throwing away. As a global community, we have had to re-assess what is important to us: the family we have gathered around us during lockdown, the treasures we had forgotten we are blessed with and the chilling reality of the delicate balance that we live in.

Hail and Farewell 2020.

What all this means for you

The Moon is now moving through your seventh house, the sector of the chart that rules your relationships with other people. You may have felt that many of the connections you made have both helped and hindered you. The difficulty you face is deciding on which scenario is which. Not all is as it seems. The only solution to dig deep into your emotional well and discover which bucket fills with what you need to get you through. So during this quiet morning of reflection, prepare yourself to get a little. . .wet.

From our point of view, the Moon is the fastest moving planet while Pluto is the slowest. Although the Moon will be in opposition to Pluto about once per month, the God of the Underworld will spend several years in each solar house. It is worth finding the rhythm of this difficult connection so it can be used to help you get in touch with your deep and hidden inner emotions.’ Sit’ with your feelings, give yourself space to turn them over in your mind and recall memories from the past. Spend the last few moments of 2020 clearing energy space for 2021.

Pluto is now moving through your twelfth house, the sector of the chart that rules the need for privacy and solitude. Deep-seated emotions may have their roots in feeling that you are unsure of where boundaries lie. What is the source of these feelings? And what can you do to change how you feel? If you can learn how to relax when feeling under threat you will allow time for the other person to explain their expectations. This is much better than locking yourself away and refusing to come out.
